Panama Canal Tours — Local services in Ancón

Unjustified double! debit credit card. After at least ten mails on my part, I have still not received a substantive response to the urgent problem that remains open. We, Lianne and Jack from the Netherlands, have booked a full transit canal tour with Panama Canal Tours which is scheduled for the 15th of November 2025. Subsequently a sum of $556,40 is debited from the credit card, the complete payment for the two of us. I received a confirmation of the booking on the 27th of February 2025. That booking stands you might say. To our regret there has been a second debit of the amount of $556,40, debited on the 13th of March. So as it stands we have paid twice. Horrible communication! They are not refunding charges which were their error. I booked a partial tour, but they charged me for a full tour. I replied within a week, noting their error. There is not a specific place on the booking page to note a full vs. partial tour, so I just typed "partial" in the text field. There was no confirmation of the amount prior to charging my card. After about 6 weeks of no response to multiple phone calls, texts, and emails, they finally agreed to refund the difference (screenshot below). This company is a ripoff. This review is specifically for the travel agent, NOT the canal cruise. The Full Transit Panama Canal cruise on the Pacific Queen was excellent. However the service I received from this agent was not. Their response was slow and communication did not leave me feeling confident with the extra money I spent. They charge $250usd when other agents only charge $195 for the same tour experience.
