An Unforgettable Inca Trail Experience with View Peru Signature Travels Our 5-day supreme luxury Inca Trail trek with View Peru Signature Travels was an unforgettable journey that truly exceeded expectations. The unwavering commitment to our comfort and enjoyment was outstanding from start to finish.
Exceptional Guiding and Support Our lead guide, Marco, was brilliant. His extensive knowledge of Inca history and the trail was impressive, and he effortlessly matched our pace, sharing fascinating facts whenever we paused. Not to mention his unbelievable photography skills - which helped us capture some breathtaking photos and videos. Our assistant guide, Henry, was equally wonderful; his courteous demeanor and infectious passion for birds added immense value.
The daily massages from Aydee were a lifesaver, easing tired muscles and making each day manageable. The entire team was phenomenal: our camp was consistently immaculate and private, we were greeted with applause, and the exquisite table settings with fresh flowers were a testament to their dedication. Our bedroom was pure bliss.
Culinary Delights and Seamless Service The food was spectacular, with our talented chef even baking a birthday cake for my husband on the last day—a truly thoughtful touch.
View Peru's attention to detail and care was outstanding. Their slightly different trek pacing meant we were often behind other companies like Alpaca, giving us the incredible feeling of having the entire Inca Trail to ourselves. Experiences along the route, such as the yoga session and mountain ceremony made the experience all the more special.
The booking experience was incredibly smooth thanks to our contact, Doris, who patiently answered dozens of questions. Our reception in Cusco was hearty and when our luggage didn't arrive, the team swiftly changed our plan so we could collect it on the first trek day, turning a major inconvenience into an effortless solution. Big thanks to Marco and Ronald especially for this!
Top Tips for Your Inca Trail Trek If you're considering this trek, View Peru Signature Travels are an excellent choice!
Allow Two Days in Cusco: Crucial for altitude acclimatization and to buffer against potential flight/luggage issues.
Opt for the 5-Day Trek: We were exhausted by Machu Picchu on day four, so having the next day to return and explore leisurely was invaluable.
Pack Plenty of Layers for Nights: Even with sunny days, nights were very cold; warm layers are essential for comfortable sleep.
Take the Hiram Bingham train: If you love music, make sure you get tickets for Hiram Bingham train on the way back and get yourself into the bar with live music. After completing the trek, this experience on the way back to Cusco was unreal.
We highly recommend View Peru Signature Travels for an unparalleled Inca...
Read moreJust WOW!!! Our four day luxury trek to Machu Picchu with View Peru was beyond amazing. A wonderful all-around company, our tour leader Adrian Jimenez made our trip an experience we will never forget and always think of with fondness. He is kind, knowledgeable, and fun. Although we are confident all of View Peru’s tour leaders are among the best in the business, we are so grateful that Adrian was assigned to us. In four days, we now consider him a friend and already miss his smile and infectious laugh. He was assisted by two rising stars, Luis and Yhon. Both were attentive, respectful and a joy to be around. The food made by or head chef Nemesio and assistant chef Julio would win over the harshest critique. It is truly hard to comprehend how they made such delicious food and presented everything so impressively. Each meal was served by our waiter Adolfo, always wearing white gloves. You will never find a sweeter person with a more heart-warming smile on the planet. More fresh water? Herbal tea? Hot coffee in your tent in the morning? Adolfo was always there to make our time in camp extra special. And if that wasn’t enough, lovely Mari was the cherry on top. Every afternoon after our hot shower, Mari gave the most perfect therapeutic and relaxing massage to help us recover from the climb to Dead Woman’s Pass (We Did It!!!) and the never-ending downhills too. And if that wasn’t enough, she helped us connect with all the beauty surrounding us with a spiritual sunrise morning yoga session and a sunset mountain-top meditation session that will never be forgotten. Of course, none of this would have been possible without Carlos (the head porter) and his hard-working team of porters. When we we arrived at camp, everything — our spacious tent and bed, the dining tent, the shower, and the all-important CLEAN and PRIVATE toilet — was set up for our comfort. And then in the morning or after lunch they broke everything down quickly and efficiently and literally ran with everything on their backs to our next breathtaking spot. We are in awe of the View Peru porters for both their athleticism and professionalism - and they did everything with a smile. We had a lot of choices for our trek on the Inca Trail. We even made a spreadsheet of all the different companies and what they offered and the prices they charged. We are SO HAPPY we chose View Peru. And if we had to do it all over again - and we might, because we’re seriously considering doing a trek to Salkantay - we would pick View Peru in...
Read moreWe were absolutely thrilled with every aspect of our trip organized through View Peru! We used them both for a 5-day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu and for driver service in the Sacred Valley.
Our Salkantay trek was absolutely perfect! We were so glad we booked through View Peru as all the other groups followed a slightly different itinerary that had them camping closer to the start of the trail in a much more crowded area, whereas as our camp site was 200 (vertical) meters from the Salkantay pass summit (which allowed us to be the first to the top the next day!) at a completely secluded spot where we could see the Salkantay glacier as well as thousands of stars … this alone should be reason to book with View Peru. Everything else about the trek was also exceptional - from the super luxurious glamping set up, to the seamless logistics!
But what really made our trip special was the incredible team that created such a magical experience for us. Our chef and sous-chef (Zenon & Wilfredo) were top notch and every dish was absolutely delicious! These wonderful meals were complemented by Adolfo’s stellar service during meal times. We were also so grateful for Mari’s incredible massages at the end of each day - she really is amazing! But without a doubt, the person we could never have done this without is our wonderful guide Sebastian. We learned so much from him about the history and culture of Peru, and he was always a knowledgeable, joyful and encouraging presence on our trek! We cannot recommend this team more!
We were also really grateful for Doris’s fast response time when we emailed her 1 day before arriving in Cusco to organize a driver for us - even though it was a public holiday, Doris arranged an excellent driver to take us around the Sacred Valley on a self guided adventure!
Thank you Sebastian and the rest of the View Peru team - you’ve given us memories to last...
