The corruption in this country amongst any entity is catastrophic and outrageous. It seems the people who manage it have NO formal education nor seriousness and love for their country. Culturally it might’ve been at some point great when the Incas were there, these days there are only greedy ignorant people in charge of the Ministry. This city could be so beautiful and yet it lacks parks, green areas and car restrictions. It’s very polluted and extremely expensive for what it is— ITS NOT LONDON nor New York nor Berlin or Paris.. but their prices for everything increase as they please, depending on how white or educated you are. Watch out. Not only that, the cruelty against those poor street dogs are absolutely heart breaking, and disgusting to see that the Ministry of culture has VERY LITTLE interest in anything apart from probably warming a chair all day long in their offices. A very sad affair at all levels. Not impressed except for Macchupicchu and badly impressed on the high cost of living including apartments for sale..Their high prices are the same as European house prices and they have no control of how much they can sell them for. For the money they earn and the very low monetary currency this country has it is absolutely disgusting and unbelievable at all levels how it works and rubs. . They have a false national pride, thinking they’re the best when they are not, there are so many other beautiful places in the world with honest people to visit....

There is conflicting info online about this but as of September '23, you cannot buy entry tickets to Machu Picchu here (I tried). If you're trying to buy an entry ticket on your own, but they are sold out online for the date you want, you will need to buy it in person in Aguas Calientes at the at the Machu Picchu Cultural Centre.

The staff there were polite about it but I'm giving three stars because I think many travelers would like to be able to buy their Machu Picchu...

disfrute mi estadía en machu picchu pero por otro lado me siento estafado porque compre mi boleto para los circuitos 1,2, 3 o 4, cuando fue a hacer el recorrido del circuito 3 no me dejaron hacerlo porque me dijeron que mi boleto no lo cubría, cuando llegue a mi hotel indagando más detalladamente en el boleto descubrí que si decía que cubría lo que había comprado pero por alguna razon la chica no me dejo entrar al circuito, me siento estafado porque no pude disfrutar por el circuito que ya había pagado, nunca contestan el teléfono y porque que veo su servicio al cliente y...
