Al Tapas — Restaurant in Portimão

Have been visiting this fabulous restaurant for a number of years and it never disappoints. Always a lovely warm and genuine welcome from Luis and Karen; they are assisted front of house by Bruno and the service is impeccable. A fabulous range of tapas, a dish of the day which is usually a local dish and some great grazing boards, alongside a varied range of main course options so really something for everybody. Can definitely recommend the seafood cataplana! Luis is always on hand to recommend a suitable wine to accompany your meal and all that we have tried have been excellent quality and very reasonably priced. We look forward to visiting again when we return to Alvor later...

Great tapas and great service too.

Need to add a few things ... The wine selection is of very good quality and you really get excellent guidance if you ask for. Compared to the quaility the prices of the vines are more then fair. The tapas are country-specific and all ingredients are natural and of really good quality. In addition every tapa we tested was prepared on-point. The atmosphere is very relaxed to spend an "unstressed" evening.

If we will be back in Portugal, this is the restaurant where we will definitely be again. We spent our "best" evenings there. We loved it, best tapa bar where we...

Fabulous food and even better wine. Excellent service and a lovely restaurant. The staff were the perfect level of attentive. As soon as we sat down we were given a selection of local appetisers and breads. The waiter was fantastic at explaining the ‘ever-changing’ daily specials. We ordered 5 dishes, accompanied by a wonderful bottle of Alvarinho with more than enough food. This stunning meal was finished off with a delicious orange cake and a complimentary glass of Port.
