Panda — Restaurant in Portimão

We last ate at Panda bar many moons ago and on our first visit to Alvor in three years we though we would go back. Bit of a mix up with our booking but the owner sorted it out for us and found us a table despite being fully booked out for the evening. We went with some of the choices off the menu of the day, wife had Grilled tuna Algarvian style, daughter had chicken fillets and I chose grilled pork. We were offered bread and olives with butter and cheese to start and a choice of 500ml red or white wine, small beer of a pop. We joined our wind together and had a litre of white which was very good, daughter opted for a Coke. The restaurant was packed so the food took a little while bug boy was it worth the wait, these Pandas serve big portions! The mains demolished, all being fantastic we were offered a choice of deserts, many home made, the ladies opted to share a cheese cake while I scoffed a lovely custard tartlet, delicious! Next up coffees, very nice. As I said this was all off the Menu of the day and when the bill came we were astonished to see it all came to €41, for some of the best home cooked food we've ever had in Alvor! Where do I start, me and my husband Ben, have been coming here every week for food at the panda, every week we have tried something new, every meal for the past 2 months has been perfect and cooked to perfection, the chef really knows how to cook, and the waiter is lovely always taking care of you, and making shure your happy, if you want some really nice well Cooked food outside of the main town please take a trip to this little charming place, you won't be disopointed, grate value for money, and always perfect, every meal are plates are empty, and always get are little shot at the end and the waiter always does a different one for us each time, best little place in alvor we are so pleased to have found it 💞💞💞...

Went 2 days running sadly the last 2 days if this holiday.wish we could have found this earlier. The,frankly,incredible value, set menu had 2 thick slices of melt in the mouth steak served with a slice of pineapple,home style chips, melt in the mouth lentils and rice,washed down with excellent house wine,bread,olives to start.
