Great Deals & Good Shopping Experience at Al Othaim Supermarket – A Regular’s Review!

On December 24, 2024, at 11 PM, my friend Michael and I visited Al Othaim Supermarket on Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Rd for my weekly grocery run, where I was on the hunt for different types of fruits. I always go to this branch because it's the closest and biggest supermarket near me, making it super convenient for all my needs.

The store is nearly complete in terms of offerings – you can find everything from basic groceries to more specific necessities. It's well-organized, and everything is easy to find. The staff was busy assisting customers and arranging items, which showed that they were focused on keeping things running smoothly. I appreciate that the staff is generally neutral and respectful, without being pushy or hovering around. It’s always a relief not to feel followed while shopping!

What’s also great about Al Othaim Supermarket is that they have huge sales every Monday, so it’s a perfect time to get your weekly needs at great prices. Plus, by using their Iktissab card, you can earn points for future discounts, which adds even more value to your shopping experience.

I just wanted to share something that happened during this visit: I was offering my contact number to earn points for my purchase, as required for the Iktissab card. I’m aware that discounted items don’t earn points, which is fine, but some of the items we bought were at regular prices. However, the supervisor in charge refused to accept my contact details for the points. While I understand, it was a bit confusing, especially since I’ve been a regular customer of Al Othaim Supermarket since 2018. It’s the only branch where I’ve encountered this issue, and I just wanted to share my experience.

Overall, despite that minor setback, I still enjoy shopping here and would recommend it to others for its variety, sales, and convenience. The experience has always been great, and I’ll continue to be a regular customer!

Almost always i purchases necessary things from this Market and i am happy to purchase here but today a guy was in cashier who was very rude I purchased goods for 24sar and i gave him 50sr but he Didn't return rest of Money and he claim he returned and Asked me say OhhAlllah which was very much embarrassing for me and than he checked CC camera and returned my money although he should say sorry but he Didn't He doesn’t know how to Behaviour...

The worst supermarket I have ever been to. Im not the type to usually rate places, although I had to type one in due to how bad it was. Worst quality of Vegetables available. Tomato has literal fungus growing on it. Theres 1 cashier for the whole supermarket . The vegetable guy doesn’t know anything about the weigh ins, in addition- we waited for 30 mins until he came.
