Marhaba Riyadh, Good morning. It's 7:30 AM on Friday, 10th January 2024.
I am at Dannoun Restaurant (Authentic Lebanese Cuisine), the ambiance is nice, beautiful seating (indoors and outdoors), the crew Captain Mr. Mohammad Awad from Tripoli, Lebanon 🇱🇧 is serving the delightful cuisine.
The Dannoun Fatteh with Ghee & Pine Nuts has simple warming authentic flavors, subtle taste, the soft texture of baleela (chickpeas) the pita bread soaked in goodness of the Ghee, topped with creamy yogurt and crunchy toasted pine nuts all coming together nicely and well presented. My rating is 10 out of 10.
Mankoushe Dannoun (Zaatar stuffed with cheese) oven baked delicious, nice flavor of zaatar, and the authentic taste of cheese was a delight. My rating is 8.5 out of 10.
The Kaak tabolsiye with cheese ( Kaak is a Lebanese bread that is shaped like a purse and coated in sesame seeds). The bread stuffed with akawi cheese was baked to perfection, and the flavors, taste, and texture come together nicely. My rating is 9 out of 10.
The Twinings English Breakfast Tea served in a nice large cup, the temperature of the water spot on. My rating is 8.5 out of 10.
Overall rating is 9 out of 10.

Read moreWalking into Dannoun Restaurant felt like stepping into a cousin’s dining room—if your cousin was a Michelin-star chef! The staff? They don’t just take your order; they read your mind. Before we even opened the menu, Ahmed one of the super friendly waiters whispered, “You look like someone who needs Fatteh.” He wasn’t wrong. The food? Oh, the food. The 🫘 “foul” had just the right amount of lemony sass, the ka3keh trabulsiyeh with cheese was toasted to a crispy perfection! Qusai, the manager, insisted on sending us sweets—and let’s just say, we managed arguing our way out of it for we were full! Final verdict: Come for the food, stay for the vibe, and leave wondering if you can tip...
