They have really changed for the better. Thanks to the new ambassador for that. passport applications are now online. You have to book an appointment on the website. On the day of your appointment, you will do the interview and payment either by bank deposit/Tranfer or you can swipe your card at the embassy💳 🎆 and then Capture after your payment. NO CASH IS HANDLE ON THE PREMISES. YOU GO WITH CASH, YOU WILL RUN TO THE BANK TO DEPOSIT IT INTO THEIR ACCOUNT. Support them by abiding to the rules of applications that can be found on their website. Everything is there; even their bank details for the passport payment and the price. So much fake information going on the community 🙄.

Update: Waiting for passport is at least 4 months unless your God or ancestors are...

Where do I start!!! After paying for a passport that I never applied for, I then sent the required paperwork to the embassy and their bank to arrange a refund for what is currently amongst the worlds most expensive passport with zero benefits, ZAR 4000. After 6 months of back and forth and the embassy effectively not giving permission to reverse the payment, I eventually gave the order for my sister to use my payment for her passport. On top of that my younger sisters passport was misplaced for a month and a half before they magically found it. You can look to spending a full day there waiting to be helped and like many other reviewers the only way to really get helped is by having money to bribe. I wish there was a zero star rating. So let down by...

I don't know why others complain so much about this embassy. I've been travelling Africa for the last 24 years and know all about the hassles you get at other African embassies in Pretoria. Not this one. I applied for my visa yesterday (before 12h30) with all the right documents and received it at 13h30 today. No problem, no queues, no corruption; you have to pay your visa fees into their Arcadia bank account before applying (they don't take cash at the embassy) and make sure you have all the right documentation and you'll be fine. They have recently changed their visa application form, so the one I downloaded from somewhere online wasn't accepted, but they gave me their new form to fill out and...
