Aroma Gourmet Coffee Roastery. — Restaurant in Gauteng

I have been an Aroma customer since my days back in varsity. I have always loved their coffee and the gelato stole my heart and I have never looked back. I don’t eat ice cream anymore cause of the Aroma gelato, it’s out of this world. My entire family knows that Aroma gelato is an addiction for me.

I recently visited the Original store on Lynwood Road to place an order of a gelato cake for my son’s first birthday. Nita and the team from the Aroma Lab assisted me to perfectly and made me feel as part of the family. We gave them a them of a Lego themed cake and sent them a pic of what we had in mind. I must say that my family and I were never ready for what was presented to us.

They blew our socks of and the cake was exceptionally crafted the details were so perfect. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 They truly made my son’s first birthday that extra special. I don’t even have words for the taste it was was just extraordinary and out of this world. The combination of the mango flavour and mix berries was just the perfect blend of sweet and sour topped of with the selen Italian icing was just the cherry on top allowing us to eat the Lego blocks and all the detailing on the cake that was made out of selen icing. 😋😋😋

A cool and funky place to chill with great milkshakes, food and a beautiful cozy atmosphere. It is a petite restaurant/ coffeehouse and Ice cream parlour which serves breakfast, lunch, a great selection on desserts and even "bunting" dishes. The cappuccinos are great and the selection of milkshakes and ice cream is stunning and very delicious, however a bit pricey. It is a place for everyone, from students via professionals and families. It has an unusual and interesting design and has a second floor to sit in which is originally decorated. Not a place for small children as there's no playground for the kids and parking/ traffic is right at the doorstep of the restaurant. Good place to get your hunger for special ice cream flavours stilled. There are flavours available such as Kinder-chocolate, kinder-joy, some chilli flavoured ice cream and peanut butter. All in all an interesting variety which is a bit expensive. Food looks very inviting served and was very tasty. Loved the chicken mayo baguette with coleslaw salad. Aroma is every coffee freaks dream.

Offering whati consider to be some of the best, non-mainstream coffee out there. Sure it's a rather cool feeling like an American when your name is called out at Starbucks, but nothing replaces the more Italian "welcome home" approach that the staff at Aroma offer.

Whether you need your morning caffeine dose on your way to work, meeting with friends (or even clients for that matter), or just prefer to study with a warm cup of something rather than the university library, Aroma will most likely be able to accomodate you.

Although it seems not, the location is accessible traveling in either direction in Lynnwood Rd. Parking is however limited, especially during peak hours.
