I would NOT recommend this place to anyone at all! Their shower water was always cold (at most lukewarm) and when the receptionist heard of this, she said there was nothing that could be done about it and did not regard it as an important enough problem for them to solve. Their staff stole some of our personal items that were left outside for a bit. Our room was too far from the WiFi to be able to connect and the WiFi was constantly weak when we were able to connect to it. Using our Own Data was a solution to this problem. After the first day, our room was not cleaned, bathroom towels not replaced and our beds were not made up. Their generators were placed right outside our room, with constant noise from it running as the power was off and there was not power supplied to our room during load-shedding. The heater in the room was also cracked and broken.
The pricing for this place is extremely expensive for the lack in service and lack of hospitality they give to their guests. The only thing that was a plus to this hotel was the great food that they served at...
Read moreThe atmosphere was pleasant, but at the end of the day we went for dinner, which was hugely disappointing. The portions of the main meals were very small and everyone (men and women) at the table was left hungry. We thought ordering the stew and rice it would be a hot and hearty meal, but it wasn’t. The food was barely lukewarm when it arrived and I suspect the rice had been frozen. It also took over an hour for our food to arrive and the restaurant wasn’t even particularly busy. Since the stew option is only available on Wed and Sat, one would think it’s something they slow cook and prepare in advance. The waiting time to get our food then really is inexcusable. Our waiter also wasn’t very good - she was absent and inattentive for most of the time. We paid and went home to fill...
Read moreWonderful Pancakes and Ice Cream with tasty chocolate syrup at Brooks Cafe in the heart of Brooklyn stole our ❤️hearts.
We found this little hidden gem 3 years ago while exploring the Brooklyn area and then came back to discover how the place expanded even more and has become one of our favorites, and with friendly staff and tranquil café atmosphere, a bucket-list must.
The pancakes are soft and fluffy and combined with the zesty lemon and sugar makes it a true winner. If you ask for ice-cream on the side the restaurant is quite giving with the amount of ice-cream you get for a very affordable price!
A must try here is also their customizable pizzas 🍕 Visit @brookscafe for an...
