Milky Lane Wonderboom Junction — Local services in Gauteng

I went there today at 6pm (we knew the place was gonna close at 7pm) we got our orders and all that there was two girls who asked what time the place closes, after that they asked for the bill and card machine to pay. After about 5 minutes we asked for the bill to pay. We wanted to pay with card and we were told the card machines are off and they have already cashed up and they are actually closed or about to close. I really did not buy that, so the lady said we have to go to the bank and withdraw money to pay. I mean that was really nonsense those girls paid with a card machine, when it is our time to pay all of a sudden the machines don’t work. Well I know the trick that waitresses/waitress use they open a table print the bill with items that you bought on it and gives it too us and delete the table again. On the system it means that there will be no records of this particular table. The cash money I have withdrawn is probably theirs. I understand people want to make extra cash but not with my time please there are card machines for a reason in restaurants. Ooh and the story she told me about cashing up is nonsense you cannot cash up while you have an existing table.. I had the same experience elsewhere and now today never again I am really and angry fed up.. I am not mean or something but if it was Piet they would not do this...

I wanted to pay with my card today I was told that the machines are off and they have cashed up. They said I should go to the atm and withdraw money. That is what I did. But it had me thinking how can you cash up(as the lady said) when you have an existing table(which us our table). I believed they opened a table printed out a bill for me with items bought then voided/deleted the table on the system which will mean the table never existed. Not everyone(waiters) can delete or delete/void items on system as I understand it needs a manager to do it for you as a waiter. I believe among those there was a manger who did that. Terrible service and unbelievable explanation of prices.

We bought an ice cream with a topping and got one block of the Rolo slab. Upon querying this we are told that the slab is more expensive compared to the other slab toppings which we would have gotten more of. By means of a cursory search on Google we confirmed that this was not the case. No explanation was provided, the manager just laughed at us.

On the plus side, the ice cream was what you would expect from a Milky Lane. Standard.
