FOOD POISONING!! I am extremely disappointed with Arrow Ridge Spur after a deeply distressing experience. My boyfriend bought a beef burger last night and, within three hours, began experiencing severe vomiting and diarrhoea. This escalated to the point where he had to rush to the Eugene Marais Hospital. He was so dehydrated that he suffered kidney injury and was diagnosed with pyelonephritis and gastroenteritis caused by food poisoning.
To make matters worse, my boyfriend is in the middle of his veterinary science exams and is supposed to write tomorrow. This ordeal has not only affected his health but also disrupted his studies and placed immense stress on an already challenging time.
I cannot express how upsetting and unacceptable this is. Spur has always been a place we trusted, but this incident has completely shattered that trust. The lack of care and quality control leading to such a serious health risk is beyond concerning.
This is the first time I’ve ever written a bad review about anything, but I feel a responsibility to warn others and urge management to take immediate action. This is a life-threatening issue, and if my boyfriend hadn’t received timely medical care, the outcome could have been devastating. What if next time, someone isn’t as fortunate?
Spur, this is a serious wake-up call. Your customers’ health and safety must be your top priority. I sincerely hope this matter is addressed immediately to prevent anyone else from going through...

If I stayed closer, this would have been my go-to restaurant.
ALL the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Felt like a VIP upon entering.
Their service is good and the food was devine. The starter filled us up (we had the Buffalo wings as a starter), so when the main order arrived, we asked for it to be placed in takeaway containers.
My friend's kid accidentally spilled his milkshake and not even that could put a frown on the waiters face. She asked if she could place the food that she just brought over in the containers, while helping to clean up the spill.
Speaking of kids.. They have constant surveillance over the kids. A staff member will watch them and escort them to the table when needed. Thank you for looking after the kids while the adults can have a little breather. :)
They are extremely safety conscious. (Temperature is monitored and records of clients are kept at the entrance). Face masks are compulsory and not just an option, even the kids are adhering to the lockdown rules.
Every cent worth.
Thank you for the superb service and the friendliness. Really feels like...
