Mugg & Bean Wonderboom — Restaurant in Gauteng

I am adding to this review, the owner got into contact with me, he apologize for the service and invited us for a breakfast on the house which I never took him up on. I want to say, even though I had not such a good experience, this review should not stop anyone from trying out Mugg and Bean. Owners cannot always control every detail of every situation. We visited 21 Dec 2023, table 34 around 07:30. Waited forever for the food. There was no beef sausages so I settled for chicken strips. Food came and it was cold. Sent it back, it came back, chicken strips was cold and the fries was like rubber. Our waiter was more interested to chat outside the restaurant and never asked if we want refills. I just love Mugg and Bean Wonderboom Junction. I attended them today, 29 May 2025. They let me feel so at home. Gloria always happy to see me. Lebogang was such an amazing waitress. Check on me regularly and refill my bottomless Houseblend on the dot. The manager was also visible at all times and checking on everyone frequently to see if we are happy. Was no issue for this branch to issue me with the most amasing cheese and carrot cake, their speciality, for my birthday. Thank you Mugg and Bean for this spoil every year. Wasn't really impressed much with a lady who welcomed us; unfortunately, I didn't see her name. I was deciding where to sit, but her face showed some kind of unpleasant look and mumbling like complaining since she wanted me to sit where she recommended. The place was empty though, so I thought I could sit anywhere I wanted; since I was thinking to take pictures of the restaurant with good angles for the Google Maps, getting such treatment, I lost my mood of taking pictures.
