Please be careful of a scam ran by an employee at La Radice shop in Cradlestone mall by the name of Shawn . Went to this shop to look for a headboard and met a guy by the name of Shawn. He told us that La Radice makes customized furniture since they didn't have what I wanted. I paid a deposit for the headboard to be made and asked him to send a picture before delivery but the headboard was different from what I requested so he didn't deliver the headboard and he asked that I should give him time to rectify. I did and he still couldn't get it right. He promised that he will refund me however he couldn't pay back all the money all at once and asked me if he could pay me R500 for now then the rest after monthend. I have been following up with this guy for 3 months now and he does not want to pay me back. He disguised his side hustle under La Radice because he told us that the customized furniture is made by La Radice,he only disclosed that it's his business after payment.

We made the payment under impression that it is La Radice we are working with and seeing that it is in a mall like Cradlestone, we did not think that we will be scammed like this. After various requests made to Shawn to refund me, he told me that he is the manager and no one can tell...

The Mall is nice, however security not so much. I had a Bolt ride today. Bolt app gave Woolies entrance as a pickup point and I selected it. I had a full trolley.

The security saw me waiting for my ride and I overheard security guards talking about Uber. I waited at the Woolies entrance and saw my driver marked as 'arrived' on the Bolt app, but I couldn't find him. Security guards were all looking at me when then the Bolt driver called me.

The Bolt driver told me that a Fidelity security guard in a bakkie chased him away and told him to park at the designated Uber pickup point. The guards smiled while I walked with a full trolley, having to push them over speed bumps through the parking lot to get to the other entrance where the driver was parked.

Your security company could have easily told me that they redirected my driver, instead they seem to be on a power trip and enjoyed seeing us struggle. I suggest the mall make contact with the ride hailing services and customers to let them know there is only one pick up point at Cradlestone mall.
