Idaho Spur — Restaurant in Mogale City Local Municipality

I went to Spur on the 15 of December 2023 and I had a bad experience. It was my second time going to them. At first the food gave us a running tummy. I then decided to try it again for my daughter’s birthday.

When we walked in, no one attended to us. There were guys by the door who just looked at us.

After being there for a while, a guy wearing all black came to us and asked if we were assisted. I told him that we had not yet been assisted. He asked if we got menus and I told him no.

We then sat and a waitress came, when she came to assist I told her that it’s my daughters birthday and may they please sing for her. She then went to get us drinks, our food took 5 hours as always.

When she came back with our food , she had forgotten to bring our cutlery, went back to get the cutlery and took another 5 years. At that time I’m annoyed, because I’m also with a toddler who started being restless. I decided to pack the food and prepare to leave. As I asked for the bill, the waitress is asking if I still want them to sing????

In essence, I left with my daughter while she said she was going to organise ice cream, because I knew she was going to take another 6 hours. I even regretted tipping her, because she was useless and offered us a bad service.

The food ??? The ribs were hard to chew , very dry. Pork chops dry but basked in their sauce 😏😏. I really had the worst experience and I wouldn’t...

I've been sitting here for over an hour, trying to find the right words to describe my experience at the Spur in Cradlestone Mall.

We've been to this restaurant twice.

On both occasions, the staff have been extremely friendly and professional.

The food? If you're looking for ABSOLUTE CONSISTENCY in the quality of meals that arrive at your table, this is the branch to visit.

The manager? You will never find better than Nkosinathi. He is an asset to this company. His ability to lead his team is second to none. It shows in the exceptional quality of service from the staff, and the unmatched quality of food that comes out of their kitchen.

Speaking of assets.. The Play Canyon Attendant, Vision. The patience and empathy that you have with the kids is amazing to observe. Twice, my nephew has enjoyed being in your company and you have taking care of him as if he was apart of your own family.

I know that all good things must come to an end eventually, but it's hard to see an end when you have a team as POWERFUL as the one at the Cradlestone Spur.

PS. Whoever made the two Chocolate Milkshakes that I ordered tonight, it's the best I've had in...

Today I ordered a Griller breakfast and coffee. After waiting 30 minutes for the meal I was on the point of leaving, after seeing other customers who arrived after I did, and who ordered larger meals were served within 15 minutes or so. My meal arrived on a piping hot plate with the side of onion rings. A almost lukewarm meal, is not a hot meal on a hot plate in my opinion. I did mention this to the manager when I asked for a takeaway container to warm my meal at home. Credit to him offering to warm the meal for me which I refused as I wasn't prepared to wait another 30 minutes.

13 September 2024 A change to the above review. Thank you Sean for allowing me to revisit your eatery. My friend and I had a great time visiting this morning. The service Lovejoy provided was top notch. The chicken mayo sarmies were tasty and hot. It was a complety different experience compared to 10 days ago. Looking forward to my next...
