I was a bit skeptical to try this fish and chips shop but I (and the rest of my family) are so glad we did.

While hidden away from the main businesses and roads in Kleinmond, it is worth a quuck trip to fetch your fish and chips The gatzbys are huge and can feed 4 people comfortably. And I definitely ordered too much food.

The two hake combos (hake calamari and chips) would have comfortably fed our family of four...as it is we lots of left overs and my kids are mumbling about making gatsby's for breakfast. Really good value for money. Glad we ventured "off the beaten track".

About a year ago my husband and I bought a parcel hake and snoek and we were so impressed. Today we came back for more and we are super dissapointed. For R100 each we received what looked like a small portion of chips ( not what we had before) And 1 piece of fish, a much smaller piece than before!

It was very tasty,but NOT worth R100 each.

I am VERY dissapointed and will voice my opinion on social media and next time support a different fisheries as THIS IS NOT VALUE for money and you should feel ashamed to rip people...

This is a take away, so no seating atmosphere to write about. It is a tiny take away hidden in a suburb. The very pleasant surprise is the wonderful flavour of the fresh fish, calamari and chips. 13 of us hikers pitched up for lunch and she was unperturbed as she promptly prepared the takeaways.
