Pizza World — Restaurant in Overstrand Local Municipality

After a very bad first experience with a rude reception, where we were told to order, or leave, in order for them to close at 8PM (30 min later). Others waltzed in after the gates were closed, while we sat outside in the dripping cold waiting for our order to be completed. Our pizza choice while pushed to order, turned out to be regrettable, but not bad.

The business came recommended by locals, however as we where holiday makers we were treated with what we perceived to be utter contempt.

So we went back as I hate leaving bad reviews, for fear of being biased. We found the owner (oom Andre) was nice, and he served a great soft serve ice-cream with a flake for R12. He noted it has been the same price for very long time.

Changed rating to reflect...

Definitely recommend this pizza place. It seems to be family run business that has always given us fast and friendly service. We like to support local businesses that are doing their best to provide a good service and product. They provide a great variety of topping and base options, at a competitive price. The owner has on occasion personally walked out to deliver our pizza to us waiting outside in the car, when our order was ready!

My Beautiful Wife and I were suddenly struck by the urge for ice cream. As it happens we spotted someone leaving Pizza World holding a twirly ice cream. I immediately pulled into the parking area, I hadn't even come to a complete stop, when suddenly my wife lept out of the car. I didn't even have time to shout, tuck and roll babe.

She emerged clutching the munchies antidotes. I had to yo back for seconds. I was met by a lovely smile, and...
