Got it! Letâs rework that with the fish bowl drink in mind:
đđđđđ C Place Kleinmond â Where the Cape Meets Hospitality (and Hunger Meets Its Match)
If you're anywhere near Kleinmond and don't stop at C Place, you're missing out on an absolute local legend.
First things first: The MOERSE BURGER. Itâs not just a burger â itâs a challenge. Stacked, juicy, messy (in the best way), and absolutely delicious. Itâs the kind of burger that demands two hands and silence out of respect.
Now letâs talk about Lynn, the superstar waitress who treats every guest like family. Fast, funny, and full of good vibes â sheâs as much a part of the experience as the food. Honestly, if Lynn isnât working, Iâm not going.
The portions? Letâs just say if you have three kids, order one plate and watch them all tap out halfway. These servings are next-level generous.
Thirsty? The fish bowls (yes, the drinks) are insane â colourful, boozy, and packed with fun. Basically a party in a glass bowl. Perfect for sundowners with a view.
The steak, chips, and fresh fish are to die for. Properly seasoned, beautifully cooked, and the kind of hearty meal that makes you feel like youâre home â even if youâre just passing through.
This is where the Capeâs soul meets proper hospitality â casual, generous, and lekker. You come for the food, stay for the vibe, and leave planning your next visit.
C Place, youâve nailed it. 10/10. Will be back...

Upon arrival we were greeted by no one, as we waited to be seated a waiter seemed very confused as to why we were standing there and after we explained that we wanted to eat, helped us to our table. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time to try and save time. Luckily we did, because we waited more than n hour for our food. We are on holiday so we didnât mind waiting for a little while, but having to wait over n hour for food was a bit ridiculous, and every time we asked for updates on our food we got the same response âyours is coming out of the kitchen nextâ, which was a blatant lie and we would of appreciated honesty about the wait time. I ordered crumbed mushrooms and it was cold, looked and tasted like it was made a few hours prior. I also ordered the loaded fries with bacon, the bacon was so salty that I avoided the bacon and it had so many fries that the cheese sauce was nonexistent. My parents had fish and calamari which also was not up to standard. The fish had no flavour and the calamari tasted like nothing⊠We were highly disappointed with our experience and would not recommend anyone go there and we will most...
Read moreOn a quiet Sunday in August we gathered at C-Shack for lunch. There were 16 of us. The waiter was not interested and walked past a dozen times before we could get his attention. Getting drinks took 15 minutes. They missed one order of food. The consensus at the table was generally the food was very poor. I personally ordered the grilled hake and chips. The hake was old, oily and disgusting. The chips done clearly in old oil, dark brown and tasted like fish. I didn't finish my meal. Others had a range of meals from pizza to burgers to ribs. To get ribs wrong says a lot. Tasteless was the answer. The only acceptable meal was the chicken burger. Then came the bill. The menu states a 10% service charge would be added to large tables. Yet the bill had 15% added. This is very sneakily done, but if you look carefully enough you see some tip suggestions at the bottom of the till slip. I don't mind 10% for a big table, but 15% is a damn cheek, especially for the lousy service received. And all this when they are not busy. Go somewhere else would be my suggestion. Horrible atmosphere, with clearly an owner who has created a pretty rotten...
