Bistro 14 — Restaurant in Overstrand Local Municipality

This is an unexpected little oasis hidden in Harbour Road! There is this welcoming outside area in the shade of a pretty nursery garden with character with a manmade water feature in the garden area. This place has a great atmosphere and the beautiful garden is so serene and tranquil. The restaurant is very clean, neat and well maintained. Very nice food and friendly, professional service at almost unbeatable prices. For a total of R100 (including a reasonable tip for the waitress) a friend and I each had a cup of coffee and shared a slice of carrot cake and another slice of cheese cake. The waitress was really friendly and efficient. She made us noticed this special offer on coffee and cake. There is an excellent indoor restroom facility which is clean and well maintained and easily accessible. There is enough street parking bays nearby to cater for clients. It is really well worth taking family and friends here for almost any occasion. Tables can be booked to avoid disappointment. Fabulous little gem of a place: quaint shaded garden courtyard with a fountain-fishpond... part of a complex that includes a pottery gallery with working potter, a nursery (lots of succulents and other interesting things), and a small-but-deep bookshop. Food is excellent - the menu will require many visits :)

To the owner: the only suggestion I would make is to somehow increase your visibility from the street... I'm sad it took me this many visits to the area to discover your wonderful restaurant; even after visiting the neighboring book shop a few times, I still somehow didn't notice you. Perhaps a menu board on the pavement outside, and put a 'Garden Restaurant' sign somewhere it is less obscured...

Bistro 14 is our favourite eatery in Kleinmond. We always have a lovely experience. The waitresses are very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is stylish and cosy with a fabulous garden courtyard. The meals are tasty, interesting, perfectly seasoned and presented in Corinne de Haas' beautifully handmade ceramics.
