Stoep Cafè - Kleinmond — Restaurant in Overstrand Local Municipality

We walked around to see every restaurants food. The stoep Cafe had the best looking food so we decided to eat there.

Unfortunately we had waited an hour and a half. We repeatedly asked the waiter what the progress on the food was only to be told it was coming . When we finally decided to leave the manager told us that the food was being plated. We then heard her tell our waiter it would still take another 30min for the food to actually come out.

We paid for our water and went next door to the fish and chips take away. It took 15min for an order for 4. I’m no professional chef but surely deep frying fish and chips is the same in every restaurant.

None of this would have been an issue if the waiter communicated with us instead of ignoring us. I am sure the food tastes amazing and that the service is not always like this . But an hour and a half without even an...

The coffee was great, the food did not meet the expectations I was hoping for, or made believe it would. The reason I give a one star is simple, paying for a overpriced sandwich is one thing, but whoever made themselves believe its worth R103 needs to rethink their business strategy. It was simply tasteless to say the least. I would not even consider to comment on the flapjacks. It was a lovely sunny morning when we dined at Stoep Cafe. Unfortunately outside seating beneath umbrellas was taken so opted for sitting under veranda to enjoy the view and fresh air ,as opposed to sitting inside. Brunch portions were large, tasty and simply presented.The range of beverages enjoyed by all at our table were well received. Our waitress was friendly & welcoming and not overly attentive.
