Through the vibrant streets of Gangneung's Jungang Market, I was instantly immersed in a world of sights, sounds, and flavors that awakened my senses. This bustling market, located in the heart of the city, offered a captivating glimpse into the local culture and culinary delights of the region.

One of the highlights of the tour was the opportunity to sample a wide variety of delectable treats. From savory hotteok (sweet pancakes) filled with gooey cheese or red bean paste to crispy fried squid and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), my taste buds were treated to a symphony of flavors. The market's diverse food offerings catered to all palates, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

No matter where I visit for the first time as a tourist, I always visit local bazaar where you actually feel the place and people. This is the place.

Although it has turned into quite touristic place, you can experience various local food. There are many tiny alleys full of small restaurants and stalls and it is fun to explore them. However, it was sad to know find that because of big shops in the heart of the market, all other shops are forgotten and quite.

In the main crossroad, there are many big shops which were aired TV and you can easily find them. Their food is great but it is overpriced.

FYI, There are enough parking places...

This little shopping place was just excellent, we went there on a tour booked by kook and had the greatest time! All products were local ones, so was the population and they were friendly and kind! Prices were also very reasonable and the food was delicious. The marketplace was clean and organised, but it was quite another world if you car out of those touristic alleys to go a bit further, which I do not really recommend for a first time in Korea and if you speak no Korea, but in the marketplace with the tour guide it was wonderful and i enjoyed...
