Bar Cafe El Desplante, Malaga — Local services in Málaga

In Malaga for a city break and have visited this venue on a few occasions. Situated in the middle of a busy pedestrian area surrounded by lots of shops, cafes and bars. Lovely atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. Nice location and vibe. Drinks reasonably priced and plenty of choice. On street seating which is a big plus. Food of a high standard. Staff didn't speak a word of English and didn't even try to fulfill their job. All of the steaks our group ordered were overcooked. The plates were under the level of a basic beach grill but cost twice more. All meat/chicken plates were basically the same with only the main ingredient being changed, so no sauces or options for sides. And to top this all of, one of the plates served had some pointy irregulaties inside the chicken.

We ate at El Desplante for breakfast every day during our stay in Malaga. I would definitely recommend this little place. It is very Spanish. The food was really nice and good value for money. Our waiter Kliver was very friendly, he welcomed us with a smile each morning. He even remembered our order each day! The service was great.
