The store itself is nice, but be careful when returning items. When I visited Málaga, I bought a dress there. The next day, I wanted to return it—it was too bulky and probably not something I would wear back home.
That dress never made it back out of Zara. I brought it in, but was told it looked worn and they wouldn’t accept the return. They even pointed out two "pieces of evidence" to support their claim. I was shocked, because clearly the dress hadn’t been worn.
I walked over to the rack with the same dresses and showed the staff member that the two things she pointed out were exactly the same on all the other dresses—proving her reasoning wrong. That seemed to trigger something, and the young manager’s behavior quickly turned unprofessional. My friends and I just stared in disbelief as she became arrogant and defensive.
There was no apology. Instead, she kept coming up with different excuses. We asked if the refusal was personal, since there was no rational explanation for denying the return. She began yelling at us, saying we shouldn't ask her "bad questions."
Still no apology. Nothing. All I wanted was to return a dress—as is every customer’s full right to do—and I left feeling awful, like I had done something wrong when I hadn’t. It completely ruined my day. Being treated with such disrespect, especially when I was calm and fully within my rights, was upsetting and humiliating. You don’t expect to be yelled at or belittled by someone in a customer-facing role—especially not for simply trying to follow standard return policy.
It’s one thing to deny a return, but it’s another to make someone feel small for standing up for themselves. That kind of treatment leaves a bad taste and completely changes how you see a brand. I walked out of Zara feeling shaken, disappointed, and honestly, quite powerless. No one should be made to feel that way over a piece...
Read moreWe visited ZARA Malaga, where my friend bought a dress. The next day, she wanted to return it. However, a young sales assistant – possibly a manager – refused to accept the return, claiming the dress had clearly been worn and that we had reattached the tags ourselves.
We firmly explained that the dress had not been worn, but she insisted. When we pointed out that other dresses in the store had the same tags and identical tying method, she suddenly changed her reasoning and said that wasn’t actually the issue anymore. That was already suspicious.
Then she claimed the dress looked worn because of the “perforated” design. We showed her other similar dresses with the same details and explained that they all looked like that because of the rhinestones and delicate fabric. So why are they selling dresses that – in her own words – all look worn from the start?
Her attitude became rude and arrogant, she raised her voice and said she wouldn’t discuss it with us any further. We’ve never experienced such unprofessional behavior in a store before. It was extremely...
Read moreWas treated terrible while checking out, they threw all my clothes in the bin and I felt unnecessary about how it was able to pick up the prices and ring me out. The man was rushing me to pay at the self-checkout and I checkout. Look at the receipt and the prices did not ring out right. Came back the next day to return 5 items and one of them didn’t ring up because they said I didnt pay for it. Since I was a tourist and didn’t want to cause a fuss with all their errors of their systems. I cut my lost. I paid 118€ and got 78€ back. I know I kept 3 items out of 8 items I kept, but one didn’t ring up and the other outfit I kept was on sale for 2.99€ ring me up for 8.95€ and the outfit that didn’t ring up when I was returning it scan for a different price. Honestly would not shop here again if you want to get cut off and treated...
