I don't even know where to start with IKEA. We ordered a large table from the Vallecas location as it is the closest one to us and while the website said ask in-store, there was none available. There were units available in San Sebastián de los reyes and Alcorcón but we were already there so we just ordered and were told 6 days. We wait a week and have a notification the table is on the way. We go to IKEA to get it and there was a "technical error" and the table was never ordered in the first place. They reordered and tell us 6 more days and it will be there (still considering there was units in TWO OTHER STORES IN MADRID) but who cares about that anyway? So we wait 3 MORE WEEKS AND HEAR NOTHING. Now going to IKEA for the 3rd time we try to figure out what could possibly have happened this time. They blame the transportation company. We tell them to call the other IKEA and get us a table now as we had been thrown around enough. They said the table was on its way from the other store and they would call us in the evening to come get it. They didn't call and the table didn't arrive that day. We finally had to call Ikea (which is an hour waiting for customer service there's no way to call the ikea directly) and they told us it was delayed. We finally cancelled the order. It took 2 more weeks to get our money back they had been holding for now 5 WEEKS, and this was after two more calls to customer service. After our own foolishness for all these weeks we went to Alcobendas ourselves and got the table without issue. Had we just been originally told that the ordering process is a complete mess right now we would have done this in the first place instead of getting thrown around for over a month. We will never EVER bring our business to IKEA again and we have already filled out an hoja de...
Read moreThis was a very disappointing experience at IKEA Vallecas.
When I reported that a dog owner was allowing their dog to sniff and even bite one of the couches on display, I expected the staff to either thank me for alerting them or to call security to handle the situation. Instead, they dismissed my concerns and even suggested that such behavior was acceptable.
This does not reflect the standards I would normally associate with IKEA.
I also explained that I am seriously disabled and neurodivergent (autistic), and that uncontrolled pets in the store make me feel unsafe, especially when I am touched by them or threatened by their owners. Unfortunately, instead of showing understanding, the staff responded to me in a dismissive and unkind way. I was left feeling shocked and mistreated — not only because of the dog owner’s behavior but also because of how the staff reacted to my situation as a disabled customer.
I would like to ask why uncontrolled pets are allowed inside the store, especially in areas where children, babies, and disabled customers are present. Pets should only be allowed if their owners can properly control them. If a customer raises a concern — particularly a disabled person — staff should act to protect customers and property, rather than ignoring the issue or treating the person who raised it unfairly.
IKEA should ensure that all customers, including disabled and autistic people, feel safe and respected in...
Read moreBe extremely careful with the Click & collect department and check all products before go. This rating is only for this particular department, overall this ikea is ok.
We faced very unpleasant situation with the employee who for some mysterious reason lied to us right in the face and pretend that we're asking dumb question.
We arrived to grab our package and noticed many scratches on the floor protector called Kolon, it looked totally damaged. Right after this, we went back to the Click & collect and asked for the another item to replace the damaged one. The lady from the department in a very rude, like this is so obvious "why are you even asking?" manner, replied that protector has a plastic safety film and there's no need to change anything (spoiler: this is not true, there's no safety film). There was no reason not to trust her words, otherwise why she is authorised employee of the shop after all. But, after returning home, it turned out that her words was a lie. We returned the item shortly afterwards and bought a new one by ourselves in the same shop.
Take care and check...
