Ohmygod! Right - I should explain: I live up north. Up north we have a whole block and a half on Calle Barcelona in Las Palmas (near the Mercadona) where you can get Oriental ingredients.

Every time I came down to Maspalomas I always saw this place but it looks tiny so I never went in - until I did...

Holy god this place is ENORMOUS - it starts with a little corner shop and just expands and expands and expands with shelves stacked high full of imports from China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam. It has ingredients and products that the shops up north don't have. It's SERIOUSLY impressive and now I'm gonna have to come down on a regular basis to stock up.

Also - free parking, unlike the shops in central Las Palmas so what I spend on fuel I save a little in parking. But in any case, if the ingredients aren't available up north I can only get them here :-)

Staff are a little ... reserved perhaps? The clash between the Canarian personality and the Chinese personality? Supermarché asiatique au top ! Le Supermercadona Nanda à San Fernando propose un immense choix de produits asiatiques frais et de qualité, avec des rayons toujours bien achalandés.
