A valuable lesson was learnt on our recent trip to Lanzarote and Puerto del Carmen. I needed a phone charger, so decided to go to the one in the new SOCO Shopping Centre, as I believed this to be a reputable outlet, compared to the cowboy dealers up on the strip. The shop is on the left on the way into the Supermarket.

I bought a double USB-C Spanish mains charger and when I got it back to the apartment, it didn't fast charge as told, nor did it charge in anyway fast at all. It was probably worth a fiver online lol. I had the receipt and headed back to the shop. We don't refund, I was told, which being within one day of purchase, was not on. Okay, so we exchange, was next. So he gave me a Genuine Samsung USB plug. I headed out of the shop and noticed he had tried to rip off the price which was €19.95, I had paid €29.95 for the initial purchase. I raised this and he got nasty, he said he would give me a cable ( a cheap one at that ). I had had enough at this stage and grabbed my stuff and walked out, he made a remark in a foreign language as I walked out.

Be careful folks, even with the so called proper...

I took it in and Hitika (apologies for spelling) was very amicable and said they would take a look and diagnose the issue. Within the hour I got a WhatsApp and popped back in, where Andres was extremely helpful and fair, and the service was fast and professional. Phone is back in action....
