Got horrible severe food poisoning from this place on 13/09/24, ordered prawns and seafood paella, I asked for them both to be served at the same time the waiter said yes no problem then brings the prawns out 5 mins later so I said no I like to eat my paella and prawns together they got very angry at me cause I said I like them both served at the same time , so they banged prawns off the table and brought back into kitchen then was left waiting 1 hour for the paella, at this time thought it was a little long went upto the reception asked if it was ready and they said not yet , I asked to speak to a manager cause the way staff spoke to me was horrible , they wouldn’t let me speak to a manager , I said to myself I will give it 5 mins more so I sat back down and food came , prawns were freezing cold very fishy taste I knew something wasent right and paella tasted gone off aswell, I ate a little bit but couldn’t eat anymore so explained that I wasent paying for cold food that dident taste right they said that’s fine and I left , 1.5 hour later I nearly fainted, I was very healthy before I ate any of this food but 1.5 hour after I left I nearly fainted, I had to get taxi home, as soon as I got into my room I got sick everywhere had to go Hospital and they told me the food that I ate was most likely gone off or not cooked properly, how can someone wait 1.5 hours for food not to be cooked properly or gone off, or done on purpose? DO NOT EAT HERE! Horrible experience. I got food poisoning from this restaurant. I am 6 months pregnant and had to be picked up by an ambulance, taken into hospital, put on a drip and given lots of medication. My partner and I went back after I had recovered to speak to the Manager. We showed him notes from the doctor that confirmed food poisoning from the food and even showed him receipts from the medication I was prescribed by the doctor. When we asked for a refund the Manager told us that he was unable to refund us and that the food poisoning was not from his restaurant (when it so clearly was because that was all I ate that day). We are very disappointed with the response from the Manager and the treatment toward us, the Manager was rude, arrogant and was even smiling at the seriousness of our situation!! The Melia Costa del sol in torremolinos Food the breakfast is exceptional on choice, clear allergen information on all foods listed, prosecco, all fruit Juices, freshly made omelette made as you request, salad, cereals, continental, hot breakfast buffet options - it was by far the best breakfast we have had whilst away. Atmosphere well air coned inside, great facilities up on the roof is a swimming pool and the beds you can use with minimum payment for foods and drinks is great option, the cocktails were delicious and the entertainment of the flamenco dancers was by far the best entertainment whilst we were there.
