Chiringuito El Velero — Restaurant in Torremolinos

The shoulder of lamb shank was absolutely disgusting it was very very undercooked it’s still had a lot of red veins with fresh blood in the centre it was impossible to cut or chew. I asked for it to be cooked more and they didn’t do this but it was still disgusting. The potatoes and garnish on the plate were nice. The cocktails Are very cheaply made, They look like something you would get an all-inclusive holiday. The spirits are good quantity of alcohol and tasted good. The service was good at times however when asking a waiter for help they would refuse and say you would need to waiter for your own right to come over, A large part of a wren 12 people left side sat down and still not received drinks after 10 to 15 minutes. A gentleman you are assume is the owner was lurking around all night which seem to make staff nervous. I don’t think I would eat there again I would go for a drink however it was the worst me a lot ever eaten in Torremolinos. This is the second time I went to the restaurant I went once before Covid and the food...

I just had to leave this restaurant because of the bad attitude of the female waitress with glasses serving on the left side coming in, on the inside part. We were 2 with a baby, the manager, very helpful immediately sit us and she showed up and already complaining that the baby stroller was blocking the way, although people went through. We had no problem changing tables but the manager told us that it was fine. She didn't take our drink order and brought the menus. After 5m I saw her and ask her, very politely, if she could take our order when she had a chance.

It's then when she looked at me over her shoulder, like she was mad at me and she was making me a favor, from 5 meters away and walking away, and says, with disdain, 'exactly, when I have a moment I will go'. Really bad impression and I am not going to paid to receive that kind of treatment.

Tourist Trap avoid. Service was very slow but they got my partner's steak wrong and were very apologetic and brought out a fresh steak cooked how she liked. There is a good menu which states weather there are any allergens like dairy/gluten/shellfish etc in all dishes. Not very disabled friendly and it's a good job I didn't need the toilet, as they were up stairs.

The main thing that put me off was the smoking, we were placed outside but in a gazebo which was basically inside. Not only were customers smoking but so were the staff, and not discreetly, or behind the building. Which frustrated me as we asked to be moved due to the other customers smoking and then they smoked within 3m of us. They were also smoking whilst handling food and plates.

The food was nice but not worth the extortionate...
