I went to this restaurant twice in two days hoping to receive the same service as the first time. But that wasn’t the case, unfortunately. The first evening I actually went quite late in the evening, must have been 10pm. I was by myself and got a table for one. Was served pretty quickly and the food I ordered was delicious. I got two types of tacos. The seafood one and the chicken. Both really tasty and filling. The second time around, I was with a friend. We asked for a table in the rooftop terrace, which was really nice. We came to the restaurant straight from our afternoon walk and we had two water bottle with us, which we carried around the all day. The waiter bright us the menus and asked us straight away if we wanted some drinks. We said we were fine without drinks. But he insisted that we drank something and kept looking at our water bottles and eventually asked if we were intending to drink our own water. We reassured him that the bottle have been with us for the whole days and than we were not going to drink those while on the premises. No reasoning whatsoever. So we were forced to get drinks. One each. Before being able to order food. We got the same tacos that I ordered the night before, plus an extra one. It took ages for them to bring the tacos. And when we ordered another portion, he brought us the wrong order. But because it took over 30 minutes to come, we gave up and ate it anyway. This second time was such a bad experience that completely changed my perception of the restaurant. Not sure if it was the waiter’s fault necessarily or if the manager just didn’t like the idea of us coming in with water bottles. We had consumed a decent amount of food already and would have ordered more if the timing was better and if they didn’t make us wait ages for a tacos. Not sure if would recommend this place to any...
Read moreDuring our stay, my partner and I have visited this place multiple times (both the beach bar and the restaurant). For the first couple of times, we loved both the food and drinks; the only flaw was that the service was slow (which we experienced in almost all Torremolinos locals).
However, on our last night in Torremolinos, we wanted to have a glass of wine in Coco Bambu. We wanted to sit outside, and all of the tables were full, so we asked a server if there were places available on the terrace. We then went upstairs. After a long time, when a server came to serve us (and we immediately said we wanted two glasses of wine) she was VERY rude. She raised her tone, almost yelling at us that the upstairs is only for cocktails and food, and that we came there without asking anyone. She didn't offer for us to sit elsewhere; she literally made a scene as if we did something wrong, and afterwards, we left the restaurant. I have no idea what is so special about the terrace, it's exactly the same as the rest of the restaurant. Also, there is absolutely no need to be rude and yell at your customers in front of many other people. It's a shame that such a nice place has some of the...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting service, 4 of us my self and my partner including our family members who live above just arrived for some drinks and food at 22:30pm, google clearly states they close at 00:00. We was greeted by a lady who abruptly questioned us if we wanted food or just drinks? Straight away we knew they was ready to close and wasn’t interested in our custom. Our partners entered the premises one of which has a knee problem. She then went on to tell us she has to talk to her manager as “our men” have clearly had too much to drink. Insulted as anyone would be we told her he had a disability and how dare sue, she then proceeded to show us the door. I asked to speak to the manager when a man appeared stating he was the manager and he was sorry and would speak to his staff but still proceeded to lead us out of the door. These people clearly do not need peoples custom and we will be sure not to recommend this place again especially owning a rental apartment above the...
