Due to the very positive reviews, I decided to stay at the AIP language school. Unfortunately, I can only partially understand this consistently positive feedback and I would have expected more.

School and teachers Lessons in themselves well structured Frequently changing rooms 1st day of school rather disorganized A test in the 4th week is announced two days before. During this constant distraction from people entering the room, teachers talking, noise, etc. Depending on the teacher, the subject matter is pushed through without responding to people. In my opinion, way too much material in a short time (yes - I had booked the intensive course, but I still felt it was too much). Teaching staff and co-workers to be rated differently. I found most of them to be very nice and eager. Activities offered were ok. However same activities were repeated and others found on the website were not offered.

Accommodation Landlady knew nothing of my arrival Flat was very dirty (I was told that is the responsibility of the shared flat residents, which is completely ok, however, I do not see it as my 1st task to clean).Before my arrival, my room was definitely not cleaned. My son (almost 16 at the time) attended 2 weeks of the Summer Teen Program in June 2024. The communication before and after the registration was excellent, and everything seemed very well organized. A detailed activities schedule was provided beforehand and followed to a tee. My son really enjoyed the program and wants to go back next year. The lessons were good (hopefully will help with AP Spanish this school year), but most of all he liked the activities and the new friends he met from all over the world. After lessons, lunch and siesta, there was a fun evening activity every day, day trips on weekends. He stayed with a roommate in a host mom’s apartment, which he was not thrilled about at first, but ended up liking because host family teens have a lot more freedom and unsupervised time compared to the residence hall campers. They don’t really spend much time with the host family, just a place to sleep and eat, which was fine for my son who was all about hanging out with other teenagers.
