I'm Italian. You know us Italians, we always have to buy stuff for our family and friends whenever we travel. There's no southern Italian that hasn't had this conversation on the phone with their parents at least once: "Ti metto un po' di più cosí prendi una cosa alla nonna e una alla zia sai?" Having said that, I've lived in Valencia for 6 months, so imagine if I went back to Italy without a single gift, HERESY! There's just one little problem: up until now I've ever only seen the same magnets, postal cards or keepsakes wherever I went, I almost gave up looking for something less cheap and... souvenir-ish, let's say. But this little shop in the middle of the old town is a game changer. It could seem a little bit exaggerated, but it really isn't. If you want the cutest, most original but still modern and not tacky souvenirs of Valencia, definitely go to La Postalera, they got your back: the prices are fair and the merchandise is very well crafted. Enjoy your time in Valencia and buy a lot of mementos from this...
Read moreWe stumbled over this cute souvenir shop because the designs of the postcards at the door were just so beautiful and unique that we had to have a look. And for the deal of 5 for 5€ we couldn't not go inside and choose from the wall of cards. And once inside... Well.. You just don't have a chance not to check out the wonderful goods. They have a big variety of handmade designs, queer beautiful prints and cute accessories . Allot of the products are from local Valencian artists. We also discovered an artist and started to really like his art. We shopped there twice just because we couldn't decide since basically everything is just wonderful. Also shout out to Arantxa who helped us and answered our questions in the most lovely way. We recommend this shop highly to everyone who is tired of always having the same post cards and tacky souvenirs! We will be coming back if we visit Valencia again...
Read moreI don't usually leave reviews of souvenir shops, but I think this one deserves a seriously positive one. The shop itself is filled with beautiful pieces of art in the form of souvenirs that are so unique and mesmerizing to look at. However, it's the staff of La Postelera that stood out from all the other shops I visited in the neighborhood. Jana is cheerful, pleasant, and very informative when it comes to art since she's a passionate artist herself, but also very fluent in English which is quite rare among shop staff in Valencia! Thanks to the help of Jana, I bought my friends and myself the most unique and artistic souvenirs of my visit to this...
