Tasca Angel is a tiny local tapas bar I love visiting in the center of Valencia. Every month, I stop by to enjoy some of their super tasty local favorites. The sardinas de la casa, sepia, montadito de esgarrat, and atún are always delicious and satisfy my cravings for authentic Valencian flavors. Best sardines ever! Can see why there are so many positive reviews! The wines were another winner! We also got mushrooms, octopus in ink and the liver.

Honestly, just stick to the sardines and perhaps the octopus here. My liver had charred bits and the mushrooms didn’t really have much of a taste / just had to soak them in the oil & garlic.

Really small and you have to stand to eat. The folks behind the bar don’t speak English (or at least they didn’t with us, so lots of signing & pointing at the menu! The good thing was there is a menu board in English when you enter.

Truly Spanish tapas experience. Very no frills but well executed. Only 2 people , one grill to pull out the magic. Not a lot of options in terms of food nor beverage, but honestly it’s not necessary at all.

We ordered 3 dishes for two people. Grilled Sardines which is the house specialty, must order. Grilled liver, and grilled mushrooms.
