Wonderful spot. They are always very busy, we were lucky to arrive just after the standard lunch hour and just before the Spanish lunch hour. We sat inside on a very tiny table across from the bar, it was a very loud spot to sit, with a lot of (understandable) traffic and volume. Service was good, they were patient with my lack of Spanish language. They have an in-house rule of one dish per person, so despite simply wanting to share one pizza for lunch we were asked to order a second dish. We shared the Zucchini Carpaccio plate to start; very fresh and appealing. For our pizza we had the San Tommaso with Tomato sauce, fresh burrata, basil and Iberian ham. It was very good; crust was well risen and perfectly cooked, sauce was flavourful. The presentation of this one pizza is what sets it apart and accounts for the slightly higher price point (19.50euros), they assemble the pizza at your table. A lovely meal, I would love to go again. I would ask to sit elsewhere though! The bar staff were, understandably, very busy, and every time an empty glass bottle (wine, soda, water etc) was onhand, they would throw it into a crate at the end of the bar, about 1-2 metres away from my table. The whole meal was punctuated by the sound of smashing glass, and at one point a server dropped and broke a glass bottle of olive oil right next to and under my table. I know accidents happen, and bottles need to be put aside for recycling and whatnot, however it was an unfortunate distraction and made it difficult to hear my date or speak to him over all the noise. https://www.santommaso.es/englishmenu

So this was a recommendation and immediately upon arrival we felt a buzz, in a good way. It’s busy and clearly a popular eaterie. By the time we left (830pmish) there were long queues. So for food I’m rating 4. It could have been 5 easily, but my puttanesca spaghetti was a disappointment. It was seriously salty and not the piquant beautifully balanced dish I was hoping for. The entrecôte however was excellent and the salad was an exquisite accompaniment. The tirasamu was v good though the portion we had was very creamy and lacking the sponge/coffee on the edge. The service was poor. They are clearly v busy and the servers run off their feet. It was a while before our orders were taken. We were seated at a table that was wobbly that I had to fix myself by random paper wedge they use. I had to ask 3 times before our little table lamp was lighted. We had to ask for knives, after the steak came! He had also asked for the sauce to be put on the side but it was drizzled over the steak already. It also took a while before we could even pay our bill! Ps I did get the lemon with my water as requested and one of the girl servers who spoke English took a nice photo of my son and I when I asked.

San Tomasso is a remarkable restaurant offering a wonderful dining experience for those seeking delicious Italian cuisine. During my visit, I was truly impressed by the fresh and scrumptious Caesar salad, which was perfectly complemented by a side of rosemary and olive oil focaccia. The generous portions and exquisite flavors left me completely satisfied. The attentive service provided by the staff made the experience even more enjoyable. They were friendly, professional, and always ready to cater to our needs. In addition to the top-notch service, the authentic charm of the old building added to the overall dining pleasure. The well-preserved architecture and warm atmosphere make San Tomasso a perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable meal. With its unique setting, well-crafted Italian cuisine, and exceptional service, San Tomasso is a must-visit restaurant for both locals and visitors alike. I highly recommend San Tomasso for a delightful and satisfying lunch in a truly unique atmosphere. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in a culinary experience that is sure to impress.

Had my birthday dinner here, the food was very nice, but the portion sizes are extreme. The portion of gnocchi was fine but the pizza was very big for one person and for dessert, my boyfriend and I shared the chocolate cake, which they say serves 2 on the menu. (In my opinion more like 4) We couldn't finish either of our plates and maybe took 4-5 bites of the cake. The service was however questionable. First of all, I found it weird that we had three different waiters taking our order, bringing our food and clearing the table. Then they mixed up our order for antipasti and got the wrong dish. They were very nice and took it back, but it took a lot longer for us to get our appetizer. The second waiter who cleared our table after finishing our starter, put our dirty forks and knives back on the table and we didn't get new cutlery for the main dishes. Then, the waiter that took our order for dessert was very rude. In the end, I don't think I would come back here. For the price and how "upscale" this place is trying to be, it's not worth it.

The first time we went, reception was a mess. We were turned away, like people who came before and after us. Not clear what the problem was (covid passports?) but they were not handling it well. The second time started the same, but due to a misunderstanding between the staff, we managed to get seated. I think one staff said to the other we didn't have a reservation but the other understood we had one. There were plenty of tables available but the waitress was worried about it (again, multiple empty tables throughout). There's "greedy" wording throughout the menu: minimum order per person, maximum time allowed at one's table, etc. We were a little put off by this, but it had no impact on our behavior (we were planning on ordering more than the minimum and couldn't stick around too long anyway...) Food was ready very quickly and was delicious. Once we were seated, service was excellent. It would be a classic if intake was less chaotic.

We went here for the second time today for lunch, and apart from that, there can be room for improvement in the speed of attending customers who just came in; the rest was amazing! For this lunch, we were attended by Michelle and Mireja, happy with their attentiveness. We ordered fantastic rose wine, and I even took the brand because I enjoyed it. My husband ordered Heineken cerveza con limon. Bolognese pasta for him and Genovese for me. For dessert, we shared Cheesecake with blueberry sauce. Overall, satisfied and happy customers. As for the first visit, we came here with Mamá to celebrate her birthday last year. Ordered 2x white wine and beer. And for the food, we ordered Lasagna, and I ordered the same Genovese (different pasta) and salad for Mamá. As for dessert, Cheesecake, and 2x Carpaccio di Melone. With the quality of food and overall service, pretty acceptable price. Very well recommended to visit and try.
