Our visit to Taberna La Senia in Valencia was a delightful culinary experience filled with unique twists on classic dishes. The cozy and inviting atmosphere made it the perfect spot to enjoy an evening out.
We started with the patatas bravas, a classic done right—babyotatoes with a perfectly spiced sauce that packed just the right amount of heat. For mains, we tried the pork fillet, which was tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection.
The standout dish, however, was the pesto noodles. What made this dish extraordinary was the "noodles" themselves, crafted from soft squid strips. This creative twist brought a delicate, oceanic flavor and a wonderfully tender texture that paired beautifully with the vibrant pesto sauce. It was a unique and delightful dish we won’t soon forget.
The service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. Tabernacle La Senia is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to explore inventive and well-executed dishes in Valencia. Highly recommended, especially for seafood lovers looking for something a little out of...
Read moreThe experience at this restaurant is very dilemma. Some dishes we would highly recommend, such as the cuttlefish noodle and the grilled pork. The cuttlefish noodle is far beyond our expectations. At first we thought it was just Italian noodles with cuttlefish, but it turns out to be noodle made by whole cuttlefish, it was incredible! The seasoning is also perfect, I will say it is a MUST to try if you are in Valencia. The pork is also delicious, very well grilled and seasoned. But at the other hand, we don’t like the others. The sangria here is one of the worst I’ve tasted in Spain. Especially on the menu it says “Sangria with Cava”, but it turns out to be not made with Cava, but put some Cava in it. And it taste even worse than a normal Sangria should be. Another dish called Tomato with tuna, I forgot to take a picture but it feels like just tuna fish from the can put on a huge tomato, with a little seasoning, it definitely doesn’t...
Read moreWe discovered this restaurant through an online search and were drawn to it due to its Michelin recommendation. We were looking forward to enjoying lunch here.
When we arrived, it wasn’t very busy outside, so we asked two friendly ladies inside if we could sit at one of the outdoor tables. They said that was no problem.
Outside, we requested the corner table as it had a pleasant breeze. However, it still needed to be cleaned. Unfortunately, that seemed to be too much to ask. The staff member outside sighed audibly at our request and told us to wait five minutes. While cleaning the table, she sighed again and asked—rather curtly—whether we intended to have drinks or eat something.
Due to this surprisingly unwelcoming attitude, we decided to leave. A very disappointing experience, due to staff in service, especially considering the expectations raised by the...
