AH:s Glassbar is my personal favourite among Stockholm’s many options for some great ice cream. Located by Nytorget in the SOFO district, you might find yourself discovering this area on a bright summer day and in the mood for a rich and delicious ice cream. Take your pick from more than 40 different tastes and enjoy your ice cream in a cup or cone sitting by the tables overlooking Nytorget.

The place has been around for more than 30 years and has a devout following that doesn’t mind standing in line, sometimes quite a gathering of people will be waiting their turn to order some high quality home made ice cream. Service and a smile can sometimes be lacking in the person manning the counter. But for outstanding ice cream it’s even worth the occasional Soviet style service level.

Det var en fantastisk upplevelse! :D Jag var i Spanien för ca 5 år sedan och då åt jag en JÄTTEGOD citronsorbet på en glassbar... Sedan dess har jag letat efter än med lika god glass... Jag har tagit citronsorbet på ALLA glassbarer och glasställen som jag har varit på... Vissa var för beska, vissa var för sura och vissa smakade bara inte gott... Really excited coming here but the staff was disinterested and almost rude. Didn't know which flavors were made in their kitchen. When asked, got the vague answer "some of them are made here and some aren't", when asked for specifics she pointed out but one. (blueberry I believe).
