We booked our class the day prior and were told we would be collected at 4.30/4.45! After excuse after excuse from the Cooking School at 5.50pm a Grab driver turns up to take us to the class. Ummmmmm - we were meant to go to the market - this was the part we were looking forward to - NO you were late - was the response we got!!! No we bloody wern’t - you were the ones who forgot about us (as we later learnt)! Anyway after a quick rush through the half dead “herb” garden at the school we were hurriedly rushed into making our first dish. This is where everything changed for us. The teacher we had was Jenira and she was wonderful! She understood we’d been picked up late, missed out on the market, the introduction and meeting fellow class mates!!!! She gave hubby and I some great one on one time whilst the rest of the class ate their gastronomic delicacies! Eventually we caught up with the rest of the group (small group size which was great - only 5 in the class) and I must say… What we NOVICE THAI COOKS created, would have made the local Thai Restaurant shake with worry!!! We made curry pastes (green, Penang and another one I can’t remember), soups, rices, noodles, chicken dishes, vegetarian dishes and even Mango Sticky Rice. Overall it was a great experience and I’m happy Hubby and I were able to put the hiccup from the start aside and we ended up really enjoying ourselves and now can cook a few different Thai dishes to wow our kids at home. Hubby and I both decided to cook different dishes so we could try double...

This morning we did the half day cooking course for 800 baht per person. Our teacher was amazing. We got picked up at the hotel and drove to a market. There we learned a lot about the ingredients for our meals. Especially about the vegetables which are a little different compared to germany and the spices. Then we drove to the cooking school. It is a nice outdoor kitchen with a roof above it and a separate room to eat were you get also free water and coffee. We cooked 5 meals. When we arrived we selected what we want to cook. Everyone can choose something different from the 4 options per course. The teacher was great and explained all steps in very good english. We cooked delicious food: one soup, one stir fried meal, one curry paste, one curry and sticky rice with mango. After cooking we ate our meals which was amazing. Thank you to the great teacher. It was an...

We booked spontaneously in the morning, and it was absolutely no problem. We were picked up directly from our hotel, which made everything very convenient.

During the drive, we could choose what we wanted to cook, and then we went to a local market where the ingredients were explained to us in detail. We even had 10 minutes to explore while our wonderful tutor bought everything.

The cooking itself was so much fun, and everything was explained very clearly. After enjoying our own creations, we were brought back to the hotel — a truly complete service.

The tutor was extremely kind, spoke very good English, and was always happy to joke around with us. She also took the time to answer all our questions thoroughly.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience with excellent service from...
