It's been a while since I have had a desi meal for breakfast and was craving for some. Received my order on time as they mentioned with some great packaging. I must say Shaista's Kitchen did not disappoint, the meals were packed well and they have great satisfying options for all. My favorite was the nihari platter as I am a meat lover but the vegetarian platter was surprisingly delicious and satisfying as well. I also tried out the Desi platter which had an omelet and the halwa poori platter which really satisfies those with a sweet tooth early morning. The Roti/poori itself is very filling.

As a Sri Lankan I would like it more spicy but that is just me, so I would say the flavors are right on point. The Highlight for me surprisingly was the vegetarian platter with the bhaji, it was the best! Not just me but the whole family enjoyed each dish well especially since the portions were very generous. Would recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy fresh pakistani/indian food at the comfort of their own home for a very decent price. Will surely be ordering for lunch soon to try out their other options...

I am always on the lookout for an authentic taste of Karachi's traditional deg wali biryani. In the past, I have tried Shaista's Kitchen and found it to be lacking. However, to my pleasant surprise, the biryani I ordered yesterday was amazing. It was very close to the biryani you would find in Karachi, with juicy rice, tender chicken, and perfectly balanced spices and oil. They have definitely made significant improvements! During this order, we tried the chicken biryani, prawn biryani, and their mutanjan zarda. The zarda was a perfect representation of the zarda you would find at Karachi's special events, filled with maawa, mini chamcham, mini gulab jamun, nuts, and asharfian. It had been a long time since I had enjoyed zarda rice like this, and I am truly grateful for the experience....
