Horrible, extremely pathetic!!!

I checked into the Hotel Apartment on 20th May with my elderly parents along with my wife booked for 5 nights stay. My experience with the Hotel was shocking and horrifying. I checked in the hotel in the afternoon and quickly left for a city tour. On to find out that that the room had water leakage in the room and no extra bed and the kitchen amenities dirty. When I complained to the front desk, I was told that they would change the room for me the following day.

Upon reaching out to The Hotel Manager, Mr. Taufeeq. He was equally unhelpful and didn’t bother about our concern and said the room was fine and that I had to agree to whatever they provided. I compromised thinking things will be better only to find everything going downhill every day!!!

Day 2: We left the hotel in the morning and came back in the evening to find out nothing in the room was fixed and everything was as we left…

Day 3: We left the Hotel in the morning and came back around 11pm to find out again nothing in the room was done. When complained , I was told we don’t have staff and that I had to adjust to whatever little they could do for a quick fix.

Day 4: It was enough for me to take from the Hotel and my parents wanted to check out. When I told the hotel staff that I wanted to check out and that they refund my 2 unstayed days, I was told this is non-refundable. I told them my experience was ruined by their services and hence I wanted to check to for another hotel.

They neither did refund my money nor they allowed us to stay in the hotel as I was so upset.

This is the real face of City Stay Residence and I would never recommend anyone in...

We have lived in a lot of Airbnb's around the world but you need to read my review regarding this airbnb stay. We stayed in this apartment for 12 nights in February 2025. While the apartment is at a very suitable location, if you want to live in Barsha...we did have a lot of issues There was no basic things in the kitchen i.e no dishwasher liquid, no dusters, the pots were not usable, no frying pan etc etc. I had to buy all my stuff to use in the kitchen. The pillows were very hard...we had to sleep without pillows The extra beds..they gave no bedsheets under the blanket and the blankets were itchy. The sofa bed was the most uncomfortable bed ever. There was a thin mattress and you could feel the rods on the bed. 4.In the bathroom no sufficient towels n hand towels. Inspite of several requests they kept giving us only 1 face towel. The small bathroom... the sink water was not draining..I requested many times to fix it but it no use. The small bathroom was too smelly...could not use it. Tea, coffee was not provided daily (only during the last few days they provided...we were using our own coffee) One light in the main bedroom stopped working I request them 3 to 4 days continuously till we left it was not fixed. Daily housekeeping...they used to not clean the kitchen at all. The bathrooms still had foot prints after cleaning. The space near the tub...water used to not drain and the housekeeping used to not wipe it dry...

I have stayed at dozen of hotels. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Management to lower level give us a service beyond their job responsibility.

My story in short:

I visited Dubai with my wife and four year old son in January 2022, we chose to stay this hotel with the recomendation of my Brother. However during the stay my son got positive for Covid 19 and had to stay quarantine period also there, eventhough I was not aware my airline insurence suppose to bear my hotel fees during the quarintine perod but alrady I had paid all amount in my own.

Ultimately my insurence company agrees to pay the hotel fee if hotel agrees to refund same amount to me.

Then I consulted hotel managemt and explain my situation.

Management was so kind and accomodated my request.

With the series of effort and support of the hotel management and all staff, I manage to get back the hotel fee which I alrady settled.

Amazing thing was they were so kind to make an international money transfer enabaling me to get the money to my local account, since I backed to my own contry after concluding the visit

I never expected this much of hospitality from the staff of this hotel.
