Querida Mexican & Friends Restaurant — Restaurant in Dubai

We had high hopes from the place, and initially with the ambience it seemed great, however we faced an issue with the food. This was our first time at this restaurant and hence we had continued requests to the serving team, we asked them not to serve us any meat (especially beef) other than chicken. We placed an order for a Chicken Quesadilla and a Querida Familia with clear instructions, at least 3-4 times not to add any other meat (except Chicken) and the Jarritos drinks. They agreed not to use any meat and confirmed that all dishes would be either chicken or veg only. We received the Chicken Quesadilla which was delicious and then we received the Querida Familia, which they again confirmed was not containing any meat. We started with some Nachos, Empanadas etc, however my wife started with a Quesadilla bite, and immediately had a doubt about the meat used. When asked, they first said it is lamb, which was still ok, but then she again checked and the chef confirmed it is beef which is a big NO for us. So, even after repeated instructions and multiple questions before having every bite, we were still served with beef!! We of course didn’t continue eating. The manager did offer a complete replacement of the dish Querida familia, but it was already very late!! We couldn’t continue eating after this debacle. We never faced such an issue at any restaurant in our 13 yrs in Dubai. We probably will never go to this place. Disappointing. And yes, the restaurant did waive off the entire bill, so thanks for that, however we insisted to pay for atleast the quesadilla and the soft drinks we had, however the restaurant did...

A Truly Memorable Experience at Querida

We went to Querida today looking forward to a simple meal of tacos. A large takeout order came in right before ours, and our meal was delayed by 35 minutes, which is a long wait if you know the world of tacos from the Southwestern United States and Mexico. At first, we were quite frustrated, but what followed was a remarkable display of excellent service and fantastic food that made the wait absolutely worth it.

The staff handled the situation with such grace and sincerity. Our server was incredibly apologetic and made sure we were comfortable while we waited. Then, the moment we took our first bite, any lingering frustration melted away. The tacos were amazing, as incredible as the taco trucks in Arizona. The chef went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary order of fresh churros and even came out of the kitchen to personally apologize.

By the time we finished our tacos, we had completely forgotten about the initial delay and were simply in awe of how well the team at Querida handled the entire situation. It’s easy for things to go off track with customer service, but what really matters is how you recover—and Querida absolutely nailed it. From the warmth of the staff to the unforgettable taste of the food, it was a true testament to the restaurant's commitment to both quality and customer satisfaction.

In the end, our experience at Querida was not just about the food—it was about the people behind it and the care they put into their work. We left with full stomachs and smiles, and are already planning our next visit....

Querida, Al Barsha. The latest buzz in town, and you know I had to check it out. Let's be real, hype can be a double-edged sword, right? Like promising a fireworks display and getting a couple of sparklers. Birria tacos. Decent enough. Like a reliable friend, not exactly setting the world on fire, but you're glad they're there.
