I rarely write a bad review! I need to have had a really bad experience to give someone such a low rating.
My feedback / review is mainly on the Ragi dosa and the service standards here.
I ordered a ragi dosa and was served a raw and uncooked dosa. In my opinion, as someone who knows how to ferment and cook a dosa, the ragi dosa batter was not fermented properly (it could have been a bad day, we all have it! It’s understandable.)
I requested the server to either change it or if i can order something else as the dosa was raw. The response i got politely was “this is how ragi dosa is made”. I disagreed and he said he will get me a new one
Unfortunately the new one was the same, I had 2-3 bites and left it.
My expectation for a restaurant with decent serving standards is for the staff to replace that dosa with something else. They saw i returned the full plate, they also obviously charged me for it (and for the bottled water which was kept on our table unopened)
I left the restaurant hungry and quite unhappy with the service and the food
Would highly recommend that the restaurant removes items from the menu that they likely know do...
Read moreShri Krishna Bhavan in Al Barsha, Dubai, is a fantastic spot for authentic South Indian cuisine. During our recent visit, we enjoyed a delightful array of dishes that perfectly captured the essence of traditional flavors.
The filter coffee was rich and aromatic, a perfect way to start the meal. We tried the Rava Onion Dosa, which had a wonderful crispy texture with just the right balance of spices, and the Thatte Idli, which was soft, fluffy, and a true comfort dish. The onion tomato uttappam was flavorful and generously topped, and the ghee roast dosa was exceptionally well-made with a perfect golden-brown crispiness that added a delicious richness.
The service by Guru and Santosh was impeccable. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt welcome and well-cared for throughout the meal.
The restaurant’s ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal place for a relaxed dining experience. Combined with the authentic taste and quality of the food, Shri Krishna Bhavan is a gem in Dubai for South Indian cuisine lovers. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a genuine taste of India in a...
Read moreFood was quite good, but the pricing is not transparent or realistic when it comes to billing. Chole Bhature was 20 AED, and when we asked if we can order one extra Bhatura, we were charged 11 AED for that at the end (more than the price of two butter naans). We ordered Thatte Idly and they asked if we want Ghee or Podi Masala on it (without mentioning that its an extra ie r it makes it a different dish) we said No Ghee. they put Podi powder on it and changed it to Ghee Podi Thatte Idly (its not even on the bill). cherry on the top of the cake, the waiter generously offered a small bowl of aloo when my mom exclaimed that there is no masala in the Onion Dosa, they charged Onion Dosa to higher priced Onion Masala Dosa (also not on the menu). after denying to pay such high price for Bhatura, they ended up reducing the price of it, but if people don’t check their bills, they would end up paying unreasonable amounts, this is really not the right practice by such a...
