Absolute Disappointment – Poor Quality, Painful Experience
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I genuinely feel responsible for warning others about this place.
I went to this salon because of their high ratings and a supposedly attractive mani-pedi gelish offer. In the end, I paid 360 AED instead of 170 AED because they kept adding charges for everything — gel removal, reshaping, etc. Let me be clear: I don’t mind paying more for good quality. I get my nails done every month, and I’m used to paying premium prices when the service is worth it. But here, it was pure robbery, expensive for absolutely awful results. • Poor quality work: Three different technicians handled my hands for a simple gelish French. The final result? Disastrous. Uneven surfaces, bubbles, poorly cured gel. Up close, it looks lumpy and unprofessional. One week later, the gel is already peeling off — something that never happens to me elsewhere. Normally, my nails last a full month easily. • Painful experience: Removing my previous gel was torture. I had to tell them over and over that it was burning. I’ve done countless manicures in my life — it should never hurt like that. I left with sore nails, and honestly, I just wanted to get out of there. • Terrible organization: Changing technicians three times during the same service is unacceptable. Each time, I had to re-explain my preferences. It felt rushed, chaotic, and extremely unprofessional — not the relaxing moment I expect when I treat myself. • False advertising and manipulation: They lure you in with offers, then make you pay double without delivering even basic quality. Even if they had offered it for free, I would not have accepted it if I had known the result. It’s a complete scam masked behind a fake “best salon” reputation.
I didn’t even dare to ask for corrections because I knew any attempt to “fix” it would have meant more damage and more pain to nails that had already suffered enough. I just wanted to leave and never come back.
Honestly, I feel like I deserve a refund. No customer should have to pay that amount for such poor quality and such a terrible experience.
I will never return. If you care about your nails, your money, and your time, avoid this salon. Reputation means nothing without true...
Read moreSuch a shame because I wanted to be full of positivity for this place but I just can't. Feeling so frustrated. Yesterday afternoon I was a walk in, my friend was getting her nails done and they asked if I wanted anything done. First I said no but then joked and said well, if you can fit me in for a haircut.... 'absolutely we can, there will be a wait of 10 to 20 minutes' I was like brilliant this place is rad. We get up to minute 30 of waiting, cool no worries I'm a walk in, they misjudged the time. However over an hour later my mate had finished with her appointment and there was no hint of when he'd be ready to start my cut (no blow dry). I wasn't annoyed here, like I said I was a walkin, slightly boring waiting in a chair for an hour when I could have been chatting to my friend. Side note - said friend informed me that for about 25 minutes the stylist Alaa was sat in the eyebrow treatment chairs just scrolling on his phone, something I didn't know until after the fact. So I made an appointment for this morning at 10am. I arrive at 5 to 10, lady on reception said 'Oh let me just call your stylist Alaa. Point to make here - if you're going to call the stylist who is late for their appointment don't do it in front of the customer on speakerphone so they can hear that he has over slept and then come lie to the customer that he will be only 30 minutes as his tire was flat. I told her to her to call him back and get a real time frame because I'm relocating from Dubai in 48hrs I don't have time for 'around about times' I had another appointment at 1pm. After the call back the time went up to 30 to 45 minutes, and I said to the receptionist (she was great not her fault obviously) let's be real that's at least an hour probably more and she agreed. The hair appointment will take at least 1 hour...meaning I'll be late for the rest of my appointments throughout the day. Something I'm not prepared to do. So effectively, I paid for a taxi all the way to Five hotel in JVC and back again for no reason, wasting one of my last mornings in Dubai. Not impressed, if I could give 0...
