Madina Halal Shop — Local services in Aberdeen City

Owners don’t pay their invoices. For almost a year we were waiting to be paid. When I came into the store to ask why we’ve not been paid the older man was incredibly rude and said we had given him the products for free? On what planet does any business give products out for free? We had invoiced them at the time of delivery but the incompetent owners lost the invoice. The older man behind the counter called for the owner who had the most disgusting attitude. He eventually, after some back and forth, physically threw the money at me (it was only around £70). These guys need a lesson in public relations. They act pious by playing Quran in their store but can’t do business fairly which goes against basic Islamic teachings. Pathetic ownership, would give them negative 5 stars if I could. Plenty of better halal stores to shop...

OMG!!! I was a kid in the candy shop!! I miss my middle east work trips as during free time I’m always at the Souk soaking all the spices scents herbs and food! I love preparing and putting together middle eastern dishes more frequently Turkish recepies. Finding this supermarket today having moved from Singapore since last December, was a true blessing.I am so chuffed. Reminds me of Dubai/Doha/AbuDhabi. Found all the stuff I love and a fresh bakery making turkish and kurdish breads…straight out of the oven 😱 still warm as I got mine. Super happy and I’m sure going to be a regular here. Lovely service, they’ll always help out if a question is asked about a product. I’m quite shocked by some of the reviews, I hope people understand that there are a wide range of cultures, there’s many Asian stores in Aberdeen, so it’s great to see a Middle Eastern, MENA, one as they’re aren’t much of those products in the other stores, so this one is amazing. Of course they don’t sell nans it’s not a Asian bakery it’s a MENA bakery so the flat bread is a flat bread, very surprised with the lack of understanding that other cultures exist in Aberdeen also.
