I was part of a group of four who did The Resurrectionist room. It was absolutely awful. The young guys working were lovely, and very polite and apologetic, but completely untrained and unprepared. The room was not ready when we arrived as apparently the staff yesterday had left without resetting the room, so we were at least half an hour past our time slot. Then, the lad attending to us said he was sorry, but he had no idea what the script was, so was it ok to just leave us to get on with it, and he’d give us clues if we all waved at the cameras. Because he was also tending bar, he was too busy to watch the monitors so we didn’t get clues despite waving for ages. The clues in the room were faded and torn so were hard to read in the low light. We waited ages trying to get help, which didn’t come, and then when the time ran out, we were just told that was it. The staff explained they didn’t know how to help anyway, as the room had been designed by someone else and they didn’t know much about it. I asked to speak to the management, and was told there isn’t any because the manager quit last week. I asked for the name of whoever was in charge, or owned the facility and was told it was “Kenny something, no idea what his surname is”. When I said I’d like to speak to him, the lad working there said he’d tried to message but Kenny wasn’t answering and he had no idea who I should contact or ask to speak to. After messaging on socials, got a reply saying they’d respond the next day, they didn’t. This really is a shame as it all looked like it could be a good game, if there were trained staff, laminated clues rather than torn printer paper, and if there was someone monitoring the game and able to help. I’ve done many escape rooms all over the world, and this was shabby disorganised garbage. Don’t...
Read moreWe Booked The Ressurectionist for Saturday Evening 5pm.
We Arrived just before 5pm and spoke to man standing at the vault door who informed us to sit at a table and someone will come get us.
We sat for a few mins until a girl came to us and said they won't be long. Sat until 5.20pm with no update so went to bar to ask when we are due, barmaid said someone will get us soon.
5.30pm arrived so went to bar again for another update, again she said again, we will be seen soon.
Sat down and person finally showed us to our room 5.40pm (note we had a reservation for food at 6.15pm which we ended up missing due to the delay)
The lady showing us the room was very helpful and went through the rules etc with no issue.
Completed the room but the final 2 puzzles did not open which we were told by the host opening the door.
Overall I cannot in good conscience reccomend this escape room due to the delay and no information for over 30mins sitting in a bar which we did not enjoy.
I reccomend any other escape room in Aberdeen, particularly the locked door and breakout games, which we have had no issues thus far.
I am giving this 2 stars simply because the lady showing us in was friendly and explained the room well, other than that, we did not enjoy...

I’ve done a lot of escape rooms and affective there is nothing wrong with this room but the venue is not prepared to be run as an escape room. First time I was there we were totally ignored. No clues given for 40 minute - there was a child’s party on and the staff member was totally distracted.
Second time we waited almost half an hour standing in the bar waiting in the bar. Not informed of the delay so we didn’t get a drink. This time the opposite when we entered the room there was a clue on the screen from later in the game. Then all through the game we were getting given clues when we didn’t need or ask for them.
At the end the girl even let slip something from one of the other rooms which is crazy unprofessional.
Disappointed as there is potential to...
