The Stag — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

This is a really nice pub. We hadn’t been in there before as we are not really pub types. We were queuing for an evening event at the nearby Music Hall and decided to look for a pub instead of waiting in the cold. There was a Scotland v Croatia soccer match so the crowd was raucous but friendly even though Scotland lost a few minutes after we arrived. A young chap offered us their table which was very sweet. The bar staff were friendly and the prices excellent. There are lots of well placed TV screens so it’s a great place to watch sports. Darts was on after the soccer. We liked it so much we went back after the concert to wait for our bus. It was even busier and the bar wait a bit longer as you’d expect. This will be our go to pub in Aberdeen as we are there a couple of times a week for theatre...

Disappointed with the Guinness pour Visited recently and was really let down by how my pint of Guinness was served. It was poured all in one go without letting it settle — completely missing the two-part pour that gives Guinness its signature texture and head.
