Good craic and our kids love it. It’s not wildly expensive, and really nearby. If you do 36 holes it’s a good 1.5 hours or so.
However, much like the Ice Bowl itself, for such a fun outdoor activity it sadly, obviously, hasn’t had a penny spent on it in 20 years. Likely the council is running it down, before selling the entire complex to a property developer. A lot of the water spouts don’t work, and the golf “grass” is mouldy and blackened. The pirate ship is over grown and the water is covered in scum.
It’s a real shame, because as I say it’s good fun and a little bit of investment would spruce it up.
One other thing though, they need to ban smoking for players. Maybe it is, but like the all around the entrance to the Ice Bowl, people smoke anyway and just don’t care about people...
