Great coffee shop, friendly staff, great service, good tray bakes and cakes. Went 2 days in a row for breakfast - Mediterranean toast was lovely - all the flavours worked amazingly with each other - my only complaint was it came out cold. It has crispy bacon on top - I'm not sure if this is supposed to be freshly cooked and warm but mine wasn't - it came out at room temperature, the thick sour dough toast was also cold and the poached eggs lukewarm - personally I would have liked it if all the items were warmer / hot and plated up and served quickly to stop them going cold however I wouldn't let this put me (or you!) off and will quite happily try this again one day.
The following day we returned for breakfast again and this time I had the granola - wow, again amazing flavours! Good quality granola covered in Greek yoghurt, sprinkled with fresh fruit and drizzled with honey. My only complaint was there was too much of it (and maybe a touch too sweet for me).
My little one had chocolate cake (for breakfast!) the first day and a German biscuit the 2nd - both were fresh and moist and of high quality. Our coffees were lovely both days although my wife thought her cappuccino was quite strong the 2nd time compared to the previous day.
Decor is lovely, toilets are very clean, smell lovely and they use real toilet rolls! We were served both days by the same young waitress with a blond ponytail - service was polite, friendly, professional and attentive - I couldn't fault it and it's refreshing in a coffee shop for the waitress to come back over and ask if everything is OK.
All in all this is a lovely place, with great service and great food - just wish they would open one closer to where I live but I'll definitely be back and look forward to hopefully eating here...
Read moreWas there today as i have been every thursday for around a year! Went my 88 year old aunt. I normally have Bang Bang chicken, on its own. Aunt has pancakes bacon n maple syrup. Our usual price is normally £15, as we just have water to drink. Today we ordered and my aunt had give me £20 to pay, as she usually does. Got a big shock at till. It was £25-25. 😲. Id asked for only the chicken and not the meal, girl asked it i wanted fries, (which normally come with it Free). To my shock, not only was chicken like rubber, aunts Sourdough bread she got for a change with omelette, nearly broke her tooth 😳. Was such a dissapointment, really i should have asked to see a manager, but was so embarraced to have to go back to table to get my card to pay the bill. I was toally gob smacked !! I left the place, i put it down to our own experiance, and iwe wont be going back. We were weekly good customers. Never again. When paying by card, girl said machine not working, as my purse was in my hand, she said your other cards in purse must be interferring with machine. I said only other card in my purse is...
Read moreSo disappointed. I’d booked afternoon tea for Mother’Day as a treat for my lovely mum. The cake stand arrived and straight away I noticed the sandwiches weren’t as ordered. I was questioned whether I had really asked for no mayo or butter??? With a little persuasion the sandwiches were rectified. The two, tiny scones were rock hard. They were also raspberry and white chocolate, not to everyone’s taste. I think they were left over from the previous day??? Part of afternoon tea is looking forward to the pastries. Not this time. 😒 Two miniature meringues, two even tinier macarons and something I’m not even sure what it resembled. This experience has always been a pleasure in the past, however, this will NOT be something I will ever book again. Mother’s Day surprise ruined. A very...
