KFC Sheldon - Coventry Road — Restaurant in Birmingham

We all have bad days at work, but this was an absolute shambles. Placed order at the drive through, was told to park up. Waited 25 minutes for the food to come out and just as I'm getting out of the car, someone starts walking out of the door with the bag. Lady confirmed order with me at the car, so I asked why it was such a long wait. The reply was 'Because it's busy'. Fair enough.

Drove home, opened the bag and the order was completely wrong. Usually wouldn't bother me, but this is a trend at this KFC (and after reading other reviews, a lot of people have the same issue), and the lady actually confirmed the order with me when handing it over! Drove back to get it corrected (like I said, usually wouldn't bother me but waiting 25 minutes for the wrong order, on top of previous issues was kind of taking the mick), and when the young lad behind the counter told the girl that she had got it wrong, she gave me the dirtiest look ever! I then waited for the correct order, and when it was handed over to me by an overly apologetic manager (I assume) it was wrong again!

Unbelievable... I told her it was incorrect again and she just laughed it off and corrected it.

We all have bad days, I get it, but this was embarrassing. Regardless of the industry, the manager should set the tone and benchmark for professionalism, and the fact it was laughed off illustrates the inherited professionalism...

This was the first time in many years I'd been to KFC but I wanted to treat my son so we popped into the one in Walsall town centre. Wasn't impressed at all with this KFC. The security on the door were all over two young girls so the doorway was crowded for a start. The place was filthy with food all over tables, all over the floor. We found a table that wasn't covered in someone else's rubbish but I still had to wipe it down. I must say the man that served us was very polite and efficient, the only reason I rated two stars to be honest. The food was simply awful. I ordered a zinger burger meal and a popcorn chicken box for my son and it came out looking like it had been reheated. The chips were red hot yet looked well passed their best, and the burger was a piece of chicken, the tiniest piece of lettuce I have ever seen and a tiny bit of sauce, it was just poor. I ate my burger because despite the appearance and lack of lettuce or sauce the chicken was very tasty. I ate a few chips but those were as awful as they looked and tasted almost chewy. Not nice at all. My son ate most of his and said it was ok so I suppose it could of been worse. There were no staff in there I only saw two and they were rushed off their feet. Usual really they won't pay the wages no doubt. Then there's the two Casanova's on the door of course. Won't be rushing back...

Final nail on the coffin for me here. I’ve never complained about somewhere before, but unfortunately this place has made me feel like I have to to help others.

Out of the last 6 deliveries there’s been 5 of them where somethings missing or wrong, most of the time they were the sauces so wasn’t overly bothered, but still shouldn’t happen. This last time though it had 1 wrong side, missed an extra mini chicken fillet (at £2.45 for a single piece), and the wrong drink. I phoned up and explained and they were nice enough and wanted to sort out issue. Fortunately I realised I had missed something off order so the opportunity to add the mistaken items into the new order was there, which they said was fine. Order arrived and nothing… at this point I’ve spent £45 and missing most of the order, which now I think what we’ve ordered is actually a lot for not a lot.

Not sure if the issues is staff error, the system they use, or just under a huge workload. Regardless, I would avoid getting a delivery from here and just get in person if you really want something from here. For me I won’t go here again.
