Its all Geek to me — Local services in Bradford

I started off my pokemon card collecting journey in this store, expressing fond interest and asking questions about the hobby as I knew pretty much nothing at the time. I would come over every week to buy packs, starting from surging sparks.

Until one day, after paying for a pack, I decided that I wanted to exchange this stellar crown pack for one with a different art. Admittedly this was a strange and unnecessary thing to do, but I didn't think much of it since I already paid for the pack and didnt think changing it would be a big deal. The owner was reasonably suspicious of this, saying I could've resealed it or something, but I was ready to back out until a friend pressured me to do it anyway.

As I was opening the cabinet to change the pack, the owner started shouting, threatening to ban me from the store and all these things. He was saying not to touch the cabinet because hes the one that has to open it even though ive basically always taken packs out of the cabinet manually.

I was being apologetic and I knew what I did was wrong, but the owner continued to act agressively and was treating me like I was trying to rip him off even though ive been honest and transparent about everything up to this point.

To the owner: Seeing the stories from the multiple 1 star reviews ive read here, I think you are just way too paranoid about people's intentions and seem to label everyone as a scalper or similar. I understand the need to be skeptical, especially in today's market of scalpers and resealers, but to deny the average person just because they wanted to buy a few too many packs just seems silly to me. Always love visiting this place, great friendly approachable owner who knows his geek culture, honestly the best prices I have personally found and has definitely be one my one stop shop for magic, batman miniatures game and anything geeky.
