undercliffe cemetery is absolutely beautiful. it's a vital historic landmark and the effort put in by the volunteer team who tend to its redevelopment / upkeep is vital & worthy of support. as a charity, they deserve as much as they can get.
what unfortunately undoes all of this is the overwhelming presence of local youths who, unpoliced, are effectively given free reign to harass, abuse & threaten those visiting and/or using the cemetery.
i strongly recommend visiting undercliffe for its history and cultural significance however i would issue a strong caveat to keep your wits about you and a weather eye on your nearest available exit until such time that adequate security measures are put into place at this crucially...
