Insanely salted fried seaweed, TOTALLY unedible. Never seen such quantity of salt in a food in my entire life. In the picture, this is the quantity of salt filtered the first time of only one portion out of the 3 I've ordered. The amount of salt of the portions combined were more than 100 grams I suppose. This already happened 2 weeks ago so this time I asked for the food not be too salty. The guy taking my order told me not to worry cause they would try it on to see. Came home and it was even more salty than the previous week lol, this time there were literal giant cubes of salt on the portions hahaha! I tried sprinkled the seaweed with water, then lots of sugar, passed then 4 TIMES through a sieve, refried it and they still were unedible. Straight to the bin. That was 17£ of salt with sprinkles of seaweed in it. Who is this dumb cook? Don't you know the food is always better to be slightly unsalty cause then you're able to add more instead of ruinning a dish by overdoing it? Awful experience once and I'm still idiot enough to give it a second chance. Try your dishes instead of lying to customers!! Honestly if this amount of salt is fine for you, sorry for your colesterol and hello to your kidney stones and whatever else

This is the quintessential British Chinese food - very oily, kinda expensive, and homogenous menu. That said, the food was tasty and mostly cooked well. The rice, however, can be vastly improved upon without disrupting things too much; for fried rice, you need to make the oil hotter and stir the rice routinely (not just leave it there) if you want to make a dry (as opposed to wet/oily) Chinese fried rice. I would advice Manager perhaps trying out a few simple local Chinese type dishes to see if local Bristol market would accept and enjoy. I think they would. You could do that easy too - just add on a small (3-4) dish (cold and hot) supplemental to existing menu and then monitor the coatings over a few weeks to see if it works. If that not work then can play around with existing…add a few new ingredients/colours etc and make the food cooking process simpler. Enjoy

1. The hot and sour soup is way better than average. The balance between sourness and heat is superb. I like it.👍 2. The satay sause is sophisticated and vibrant, which is not easy to find, even in some REAL Malaysian restaurant... We love it so much. 3. For the fried flat rice noodle with beef, the' wok hai'(please refer to Uncle Roger) is still obvious even if we actually leave it for some time. Moreover, the protein ratio is generous. All in all, VERY IMPRESSIVE 👍👍 Bristol has been giving us a not very good impression about Asian cuisine... Aromas definitely change it. It's in our Top 5 UK list now 👏👏 Well done. 👍👍 We would love to try your whole menu on the next visit🤭🤭

Disregarding the higher than average prices, painfully slow delivery which we've experienced on each of the 3/4 previous occasions we've ordered from here, and the ireverrent attitude of the staff (discovered once previously upon chasing up an order an hour and a half after placing it) all of which we've come to expect, this recent experience really outshone all others. Placed an order for two veggie mains, egg friend rice, mushroom rice, and 2 lots of veg spring rolls. My partner and I are vegetarian and vegan respectively. We got an order estimate of 1h35 mins (not surprised). The order turned up after a mere hour. Truly expedited! When opening the mushroom rice it appeared to have the egg in it, and the other rice was completely plain. I also noticed there were only 2 spring rolls in each bag as opposed to the usual 5 mini ones, and broke one open to discover it was chicken. We called to complain about this, and the frankly uninterested member of staff on the end of the phone explained that all vegetable/mushroom rice comes with egg in it by default (as only occasional purveyors of take away restaurants I suppose it was our job to know this, rather than for their menu to specify the ingredients clearly), that the plain rice definitely had egg in it (couldn't find a trace) and that we, as non meat eaters of 10+ years, had definitely ordered chicken spring rolls and not vegetable ones. Well, a brain fart on our behalf perhaps but I'm in disbelief. The server promptly told us there was nothing they could or would do about it. Charming! Only ordered from here in the past due to its proximity to us and thousands of seemingly good reviews on Just Eat. I've now chucked out half of the overpriced order and spent 20 mins cooking myself some rice to go with what was left. Not expecting any sort of remuneration for this order or the poor service and they don't strike me as the kind of establishment that checks customer reviews or gives a toss about them. I would kindly suggest however that they join the 21st century and include detailed ingredient descriptions in their menu, including any potential allergens, and that whoever is answering the phone learns some basic manners...

Awful customer service. We ordered from here using UberEats but the restaurant uses its own drivers. The driver called us when he arrived and we went immediately out but no one was there so we waited for 15 minutes before calling the restaurant. They told us the food had been delivered. After half an hour of discussion we established that the driver had delivered it to someone not matching any of our descriptions. Aromas claimed that the driver asked for a name and the correct one was given so whoever the food was delivered to just happened to be waiting and somehow knew the correct name (this was not possible). We argued it was much more likely the driver saw someone, asked if it was us and they said yes and took our food. We had accepted that we would not be getting our food but asked for a refund as their driver had delivered it to the wrong person. They told us as far as they were concerned they had fulfilled their requirements so offered us no refund - just 50% off if we chose to order from them again which we will definitely not be doing! The people we spoke to on the phone were aggressive and very unsympathetic that their driver had delivered food to the wrong person and cost us a fair bit of money - especially since we’re students. Do not order...
